Yes, first day after an MGB (not the car).
A long road to walk, but hopefully a much healthier one without handfuls of pills and syringes and all those side effects.

We've just come back from 14 days in Arenal, Monteverde and Sardinal in Guanacaste, fantastic time and lovely people.

I didn't manage the whole time - someone has to work - but we are just coming to the end of our month in CR .

Started in Arenal, La Fortuna area then moved to Quepos .
Great activities , lovely people and the wild life is great to see.

Saw a group of 5 Capuchin monkeys while having coffee on the balcony this morning.

The only thing I've not seen in the wild but would like to is a Howler monkey - keep hearing them though .

We're going there today. As a belated birthday lunch for me we're booked in at Jamie's Fifteen.

Chrisb, we found some excellent cake yesterday, and lunch at The Hidden Hut at Porthcurnick Beach.

It has not been too shabby at all.

It rained on the way to the office, got my shirt soaked getting from the car park into the office.

On the plus side I got my first pay slip in my new job, that makes it a good day.

Now what am I going to spend some of my pennies on, Seiko SARX 017 or a Tissot Visodate?

    Suggestions please?

    Graham

So so, working so not particularly enjoyable, but things have gone reasonably well (so far), so not an unpleasant day work wise.

I'm looking forward to a few days off over the bank holiday and even more to next Friday when we're off to the Azores for a week!

I think I fall into the Work to live category, but I've no complaints...

not a bike trip, this time...so either a flight to Munich and hire car or my 335d and the ferry...
only have the Triimph scrambler and DRZ at the mo. Not great for touring!
wouldn't mind the DRZ when we get there though!

No, the groin strain I've had for a few weeks now, seems not to be a groin strain after all and a labral tear, chiropractors written to the quack, but they can't see me for five weeks.

When I asked the gatekeeper if I should carry on taking 1600mg of ibuprofen and 2000mg of paracetamol a day for the pain for the next five weeks until I could be seen, the quacks gatekeeper shrugged and said I suppose you could come in every morning at eight am until we have a cancellation.

I'm off to the juicer now to continue the last fortnight's self medication....

I had another great day out in the Cotswolds and somehow ended up in Swinbrook by pure chance,I stopped in the shade to eat some fruit and cool down.

A woman and her mother got talking to me and said they where visiting the graves of the Mitford sisters.
I had no idea about it they gave me a small guided tour/history lesson.

I went though Bourton on the water more crowded than Piccadilly station so I went on to lower slaughter and had a cream tea at the mill.

Its a really love spot, kids were fishing with nets in the stream old uns where paddling, it was like old England

I followed a Lancia Fulvia a short while around the Rissingtons and recorded its exhaust on my gopro the young couple in it looked perfect.

I passed a crocodile zoo [again no idea it was there]

I don't have to go far or fast I always find something of interest.

when I got home I dropped everything and went to the open air pool for an hour to do some swimming physio
I wore the new Seiko X to time my half hour or I know I will cut it short.
