Aside from an idiot keying the car, it was a cracking day.

yep, front and back gardens done, and finally unpacked my Jackets and Shirts from my Holiday, jackets in Dry Cleaners and shirts washed and hung up again,

finished by 3pm and then had a couple of beers in the garden, followed by Taco's.

Yes, first day after an MGB (not the car).
A long road to walk, but hopefully a much healthier one without handfuls of pills and syringes and all those side effects.

So so, working so not particularly enjoyable, but things have gone reasonably well (so far), so not an unpleasant day work wise.

I'm looking forward to a few days off over the bank holiday and even more to next Friday when we're off to the Azores for a week!

I think I fall into the Work to live category, but I've no complaints...

it started of when I left my house there was a woman face down on the pavement having taken a dive, not moving she looked very hot.
I managed to lift her into the shade and offered her water.an old Asian couple in a car stopped to help they agreed to take her home [though they couldn't speak much English it was good of them to help].she wouldn't let me call an ambulance I told her to drink lots and at least call the docs.

then I got back on my bike to ride over to see my mums new house in Chippie, combined with a shakedown ride on my motorcycle before I head to Corsica and Sardinia on the most complicated journey ever.
I needed a hot test day, everything was fine.

new Bridgestone's tyres scrubbed in, along with the Ohlins shocks fitted by some of the lads on my Kawasaki site it handles better than can be expected for an old bus.

back roads of Bicester, little heyford the bartons etc .lovely scenery not going slow nor fast just right.

just as I was leaving my mums she told me the carer had found a carrier bag that had nearly been thrown away in the house move.
so I went back in, lots of old family photos and things so far so good.

then I found my grans WW2 ration book and tucked away between some cards my granddads Naval service records.
I was over the moon he never talked much about what he did and I thought I would never find out.

so tonight I've been googling his ships along with the dates and can work out where he was and what he was doing.
from HMS Tiger to HMS witch.
strange naval system with ships and tenders being listed and I cant read it all, but so pleased its a 90 years old document.

then I went home with the sun over my shoulder lighting up the cornfields and Cotswold stone walls.
I've ridden the highest twisty Cols in the Alps but this was just as good, machine, bends and myself blended into one.

stopped of for a kebab as it was late, the owner was praying so I said I would wait. he came back all smiles made me fresh naan bread as a treat for the best kebab ever.

so all in all an enjoyable day

Yep. Tours ended so got some much needed personal practice in broken up by dog walks in the sun. I need to make more time to practice things I can't yet play cos that's how one's playing can really improve.

Flight from Colombia delayed by 15 hours but saw Team GB arrive at Heathrow and I'm now back with the family for a fortnight. So not too bad in the end.

Long day, stayed over night in a Premier inn near Falmouth and drove to Cardiff for a meeting and then onto Monmouth to do some work and then back to London. My co-pilot doesn't seem to realise we are working as a team, so not such a good day.

Today I picked up my Dainese jacket from steeple Claydon,I had some zip vents put in the back to stop it ballooning.

Then I went to some Eco farm "green dragon",except there where no hippies just loads of kids.

So I had a tea and home made cake then went for a look around on yer bike, lots of stuff on sale.

From there I went and had a look around boarstall tower it's only open on a wet Wednesday.

After that I went home and collapsed from the heat and excitement.

I didn't manage the whole time - someone has to work - but we are just coming to the end of our month in CR .

Started in Arenal, La Fortuna area then moved to Quepos .
Great activities , lovely people and the wild life is great to see.

Saw a group of 5 Capuchin monkeys while having coffee on the balcony this morning.

The only thing I've not seen in the wild but would like to is a Howler monkey - keep hearing them though .
