Did you see the Genius of Rome exhibition in London, a fair few years ago now? Ticked a lot off my list in one go.
That's right Rouen,it's massive I didn't have time to see all the art but it was impressive stuff plus this ones free.
The museum I enjoyed most on my travels though was a small municipal museum in Bosa Sardinia.
I had it all to myself.
There was just something about the old building and the local stuff that appealed to me.

FYI retired, injured ex military get free entry to a lot of museums in France
