I am on the waiting list for a Rolex bi colour rose gold yacht master. AD has called me to say I am first on the list however I am not in a position to buy now

If anyone is looking for one let me know. Would probably have to pick it up myself otherwise they would just call the next person on the list

I'd suggest we limit this thread to the UK. ADs have most models aplenty pretty much everywhere else in the world. In Singapore I could go out and happily buy two of any Rolex model tomorrow.

The reason that this thread was started was that UK ADs are utterly out of stock, because the GBP (and consequently the comparable international price of UK Rolexes) is so low.

This is uniquely a problem in the UK. No need to take photos and post them here every time someone sees a bleedin Submariner in Bahrain.

Totally agree. Lets stick to UK stock otherwise its pointless. Its not that these watches are RARE and hard to get. Its just hard to buy AT RETAIL in the UK.

Westfield Stratford just now. Only Explorer II white and Milgauss blue in the vitrine. But nice selection of Tudor including all the new black bays and the black bay bronze. The new black bays look really nice and at £2510,are not bad value.

I was in a provincial shopping mall (Cambridge) this weekend and the jewellers had some Rolex watches in their window.

    Hope that helps.

Charles Fox in Bournemouth had a blue Milguass and Pepsi GMT as of yesterday - don't think the Mil is as sought after these days, but not sure about the Pepsi?

That's very poor form on the shop's behalf. Hope you get a good result.

You could buy at today's price if your fortunate enough, give it til after Christmas you'll probably get the new list price if it remains stickered and unworn.

Almost though this is touch more creepy and sad as these are mass produced watches and not rare birds.
Waiting for an article in Daily Mail about the new trend of people descending in droves for window licking at high street jewellers and people taking cell phone pics of window displays and accosting and chatting up the staff to find out about next price rise and then rushing to post the gossip and unsubstantiated claims on nerdy watch blogs:-)

Of course they pretended they had nothing interesting when I went there the day before the price raise. Now miraculously the good pieces appeared.

Not interested enough to recall precisely which models but Goldsmiths Liverpool looked to have doubled the number of SS sports models on display post-price rise. Funny that...

Oh and they have a GMTc Pepsi in case anyone wants to see one in the flesh.

Passed my most easily accessible Rolex AD today (3 hours away!) in Aberdeen.
Took a couple of quick snaps of the window display. Looked like someone was in buying a gold Rolex.

Laings have got a sub date in and all the yachtmasters (blue, plat, rhodium, rose 37 and the new ss/rose chocolate dial one which is stunning)

If still available (they appear to be) these two seem good value.

A fully stickered up LV at £5,500.

    http://chronomatic.com/green.html

And a stickered up white dial 116520 Daytona for £8,000.

Parkhouse in Southampton had white, black and blue glass Milgauss and a black dial Exp II and that was it on Fri

Unrelated but interestingly, they had all the PP display fittings but no PP watches at all in the window! Not sure whether this was because it was 30 mins before closing time or some other short term security issue but was weird as all the other displays were as normal. Am always surprised that Southampton has a PP AD.

I was just thinking that that YM at the front was under-priced and then realised it's the 37mm version. Doh.

Yes, nothing particularly rare available in Liverpool but, just to add for information purposes, BLNR waiting list in Goldsmiths is apparently 6-9 months. DMR waiting list is still firmly closed.

The unified Rolex in the window thread

White dial ceramic Daytona at Hug Japan in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Pre owned but mint although Japanese grey warranty. £8.8k. They also have the non ceramic white dial at £6.8k.

You will need to be in Thailand to avail, I'm not able to assist in these as my bank is getting funny about the large volume of inbound transfers.

The more interesting part of the display at DM Robinson (Altrincham).
I was tempted to go in and ask whether they let you keep the hang tags?!
