I think the term 'sub marine' is meant for anything below the water line, including diver's.

If they have made the Omega cock up of a black date wheel with a blue dial, then it is a definte no no no from me - why not use a white date wheel, or a colour matched blue one FFS?!

It's just a matter of time...

Assuming you're not teasing ;-) the colour red of the wording on the dial will disappear quickly but the contrast between the resultant grey and the black dial will last longer. As per the Coke can example.

I don't think there is much if any need. ;-)

In fact, having visited submarines in the past I can say they're very unforgiving of wristwatches. Lots of hard metal, protrusions and cramped working spaces, all of which conspire to make your 'fridge-door' risk pale into insignificance.

    No.

If it does not have the hardened case, what is the point of this Damasko!!

My First Rule of watches: Never attempt to justify.
My Second Rule of Watches: Never attempt to explain.

In my opinion is a very good looking watch. I find the color scheme very sporty

The red is gone by about 10m

Its a bit of a blue sea of emptiness in the bottom half of the dial. It needs something to balance things.

However, I do have a serious reservation about the orange on the bezel. The colour will fade out as the wearer descends and without any border or contrast to those indices the referencing will disappear quickly.

This is my approximation of the effect on the bezel:

Maybe someone should tell Omega to stop making 600m dive watches with orange bezels.

There's similar comments on the Watchuseek thread, odd how seriously everyone takes a small German brand, yet a major player merrily churns out watches that are probably useless for their supposed purpose.

If Damasko are being held to higher standards, it's through their own making: their reputation has been built on their watches' seriousness of purpose.

If you're going to take a Seamaster Planet Ocean diving you'll soon find the legibility of the bezel is decreased underwater and on the surface.

do we know anything about the movement? is it their in-house?
Personally not a fan of the colour scheme and feel it lacks the "specialness" of their pilot watches
