    Which would you keep?

I am trying hard to keep to just ten watches. I had two incoming over Xmas but also ended up getting a JR Terrascope, so now have one too many.

Which would you keep of the two new ones? One is still to be delivered and one is unopened in the box while I decide whether to keep or return!

    Braun BN10

    Or

Bulova lobster. Not a mesh fan so I have also just got an Obris Morgan black rubber isofrane style strap with PVD buckle to stick it on.

Of course the other option is get rid of both and just get something else!

It does fill a nice hole in my collection being digital, but then again the precisionist sweep of the Bulova is very tempting.

    First world problems!

The Bulova case seems to have the potential to age really badly

I think I'd keep the Braun, it's a bit different.

I am not normally a fan of digi watches but the Braun is one exception. I would keep this over the more run-of-the-mill Bulova.

Would need an SOTC post to see what fits, but my instinct would be to keep the Bulova and ditch the Braun - otherwise the "I just look at my phone to tell the time" argument gets hard to defend if your wrist carries a soulless lump of electronics. (I understand the Bulova is also electronic, but still has character IMHO!)

Braun. It's a bit different in terms of looks and style, and the quality is generally good.

The Bulova might appeal to me more if it had a steel finish.

Return the "One is still to be delivered and one is unopened in the box while I decide whether to keep or return" ...it sounds like you might not be too bothered about it anyway?

As I'm not a fan of a PVD finished watch or mesh bracelets it'd have to be the Braun for me.

While I like the black and yellow of the bulova, I'm not keen on the case shape and I think that mesh just doesn't work and it's going to have bright metal showing through in no time.
The Braun is an interesting watch, I have a Kenneth Cole similar in design so would be swayed to keeping that.

Looking like the Braun is the favourite then. I must admit that PVD watches always seem a good idea when I order them as not got anything in the collection like it but the one other time I did it I moved it on in a couple of days.

That funnily enough was the PVD version of the Braun!

The Bulova, because it looks like a real watch.

The Braun looks interesting, if you like the look of the watch on a kitchen oven.

The catch 22 is that I would prob be able to make a more informed decision by giving them a bit of a test drive but if I take them out of the packaging it will be a much bigger pain to return.

Currently veering towards the braun or selling both though.

That Bulova is sweet and the movement is pretty good too. Keep the Bulova.

I would keep the Bulova but if you have doubts over both of them why not return them both and get something you really want?

I like the Bruan, it's really a Ventura isn't it?
It's just a matter of time...

I think you may be right and the fact i'm considering flipping either shows that they may end up just as slot fillers rather than being in rotation.

I got em both for good prices so were impulse purchases rather than grail pieces.

Time to peruse Ashfords again perhaps

Yep the movement is by Ventura. It won a load of design awards when it came out and the build quality is really good

I'd get rid of that Braun thing and keep the Bulova.

I don't understand the comments on here against the cushion case of the Bulova as they have made a real comeback in the Seiko Turtle re-issues and the Bulova Moonwatch. Personally I think the case shape is great and I'm highly impressed with the quality of my Bulova Moonwatch...

The kitchen timer comment earlier about the Braun did make me laugh.

Unless you already have a few digitals I'd say keep the Braun. I have one and feel that it is a good, and unique, watch.

The Bulova is a great beater though it may age with PVD problems. The Braun looks to me to be one of those that will remain in a box as a fascinating but hardly worn wrist jewellery.

If the Bulova was the regular SS version I'd say keep that. As it stands, it seems you're not attached to either so I'd sell both and look for something you actually want. The Braun to me is exercise in design rather than something I'd want to wear.

I like the Bulova more, but I might keep the Braun as it's more unique.

The Bulova is out for delivery so I will probably spend a good hour or so tonight just staring at em!

I would keep the Braun. Ever since I looked in the back of my admittedly early-model Precisionist to change the battery, I have been distinctly unimpressed (and it was no more accurate than any other quartz in spite of the smooth sweep).

I'd lose the mini bathroom scales out of those two.

The Bulova is the nicer for me, but then I like 60's/70's design and especially Super Compressors or of that style so that is to my liking even if like others I would prefer it in a SS case.

Having said all that depends on the case size of Bulova, I can imagine it being bigger than would suit, if it's upwards of 43mm across I wouldn't be so sure.
