    ParcelPro Reference Volunteer Please

Collective wisdom appreciated. I'm struggling to find a service to post to the NL which is either affordable or provides more than £250 insurance. UPS are quoting £50+, Parcelforce £120+!!!

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

What are you sending? Some couriers (parcelforce) don't insure watches.

Don´t know about UK, but I have used DHL for shipping watches with insurance (from Estonia to UK).
Insurance of course is connected to watch price, 1% if I remember correctly.

If you can be bothered, open a parcelpro account and then use UPS without the adding insurance which is steep (dont use Airsure it wont be covered) - opening an account was easy enough for me and the costs are very reasonable, £20 or so for a typical watch with Parcelpro, UPS is also quite reasonable I use them for most things these days.

Thanks Keith. How does that work for an individual?

Also try interparcel, very quick and easy with no sign up needed and it compares various couriers..

Ah sorry, just assumed you could add further insurance and checkout as i've used them in the past to send high value items overseas. Admittedly not watches though.

I have one member kindly offer to be a reference for ParcelPro - would someone else be kind enough to?

    Thanks

I'm in a similar position, I'd like to send a watch off to a member for a bit of refinishing, but stuck with the rmsd limit of £2500, and from what I understand this means that if your item is valued at more than that then it's not covered at all. Do parcelpro insist on references?

You need to supply references but from experience they don't check them. Happy to provide my details for reference for established members.

Thanks Andrew and Coot, and for Ally as standby. Now waiting on them to reply with the details of how to set it up for a private collector.

I also needed them to add UKRM (UK Royal Mail) to the list of delivery options.

I'm looking to post a watch in the UK too (value >£2500) and would like to get ParcelPro. Can someone be a reference for me please?

I'm not a business, just an individual. Haven't sold any watches on here but have bought a couple and I can be found in H&V section.

    TIA guys!

    Cheers,
    Harry

Ref my other thread, they have now stopped the individual service. I had it confirmed in writing this morning.
