i haven't changed aftershaves for years, as they never seem to run out - but after reading this thread i'm keen to try a few. i know it's personal taste, but if anyone could recommend one/two of the above based on what i like, i'd be grateful.

i love my tuscany by aramis and also quite like the plain aramis.

Just received my items from scent samples and have to say Im very pleased - half the price but with out the packaging - I even called them as I was concerned about the offers being so good but as has been mentioned they buy in bulk and re bottle the goods to pass on so its ideal if its for your own consumption and not a gift - tested my creed alongside my selfridges brought products and Im happy its the real deal.

Great prices, quick turnaround and a discount code for my next order

bottle of Creed Aventus and some irish tweed with chaange from what I pay for one bottle - happy days

Many thanks for the heads up on here

    Bra straps too

Try Bleu du Chanel, perfect everyday scent. Or the Chanel sport for something stronger.

Armani Mania, only seen it online or in big duty free shops at airports recently.

Brut or Old Spice, anything else shouts out that you're a soft Southerner.

Thanks for the link to scent samples and the discount code guys. I’ve just got ordered 50mm of Aventus saving myself £100.
I’ve just about run out and found this thread before I reordered.

I've just received my 50ml Aventus order from Scent Samples. Very please with the service and price. Also got a sample of Creed Himalaya which is fantastic. I may actually prefer it to Aventus and im going to order 50ml.

Polo Black- that brings back memories.......... really liked that.

I've stopped buying ordinary bottles (although i occasionally get a small bottle of Tommy Hilfiger)

I buy the ultra-small vials off e-bay/Amazon now -as they don't go off like the large bottles.

Travelling? Just slip a couple into your bag - you don't even notice them.

Don't wear much, but when occasion counts I've worn this for years but can be hard to get hold of in this country..

Also like their classic Pour Homme which I've worn for decades.

    Out for a date tonight.

Aventus is of course the favourite candidate.

    Green Irish Tweed
    Tom Ford Tuscan Leather
    Are the other runners.

GIT is more of a day scent for me.
Tuscan Leather is new to me so needs a bit of testing first.

    Opinions... Runaround!

Aventus is a weekend/special occasion one for me.

Amazingreen for a daytime treat but it's not strong so if you really want it to be noticed, steer clear.

For every day, John Varvatos is really good value and punches way above its weight.

What exactly is everyone seeing in the Encre Noir Extreme? I'm not getting it. Burnt rubber in the distance is how I'd pitch it. If that's what the manufacturer was aiming for they nailed it.

I might give it away for a fundraiser or something.

I bought it from allbeauty.com - hope its not a fake or something?

Your married so no need for Creed ! My gf loves it and is the only aftershave I get regular comments on whenever I wear it.

Either Boots Freshwood or Bay Rum.

When I read threads like this I long for the 80’s when you were limited to Kouros, Aramis and a handful of trusty classics - with old spice for your dad and grandad. Nowadays the choice is bewildering and the men’s floor of most department stores is manned by ‘men’ with manicured eyebrows and tight black jeans trying to squirt any bloke with ‘trident thrust power Norse god pour homme limited edition’ for the thick end of ninety quid. For the record I’m a Nivea aftershave and loccitane fan - I’ve either got acidic or alkaline skin as a lot of scents smell like cat wee within 15 minutes - and price is no guide, I’ve just settled on one or two I like and job done.

Bought some Creed Aventus yesterday and 3 of the ladies in the office commented on it today. First time that has ever happened with an aftershave.

Might just be me but the Creed Aventus I bought from their boutique in Vegas and the one I bought from scent samples (50mm) is quite different, doesn’t seem as strong or lasts as well. My wife doesn’t think it’s as good as either.

Any fragrance that uses a portion of natural ingredients (and very few do not) can, and will have significant variations between harvest, seasons and source.

There’s actually quite a bit of difference. Personally I wouldn’t buy again, not that there’s anything wrong, just quite noticeable.
