Watching Rod Ismay today. Seems like a great candidate for an 'Oh dear' thread. Yet another of those that held a senior position and yet appears bereft of any competence.

Part of the executive team. I've always wondered why these types attain such elevated positions in organisations. They contribute nothing other than to mislead.

Jack Straw's wife Alice Perkins was PO chair. Davies used to work for Straw as his Special Advisor. Cosy?

At one point he was twice called a liar. His response was "I've never told a lie in my life". Yet the lies were clear for all to see, starting with his praise in his statement for Vannells saying "The leader I knew is one who has deep integrity and who was guided by deeply held personal values. She seemed to me to place these values at the forefront of her consideration of these issues. She was sincere in the efforts she led to try to reach conclusions. It was her and Alice Perkins, as chair, who insisted on the business investigating in detail". He heaped similar praise on Van Den Bogerd and others!

Can't wait till the 'interested parties' get their claws into him.
