That was a horrific crash, but entirely McNish's fault and totally unnecessary - Say what you like, though, that car (and the one that was crashed 'off camera' later at night if I remember rightly) was built mighty strong - A couple of years earlier and that would have probably been fatal.That was my position, showered with carbon fibre and pebbles!

What a fantastic thread. I don't have any decent pics to share and my geographical knowledge is relatively poor (although I recognised Brands Hatch and the Sistine Chapel) but that isn't stopping me from enjoying it.

Ding dong. Almost immediately after taking this photo I received a 3 hour security briefing (it was my first trip to Libya after the civil war) which, as you can understand, was designed to scare the living daylights out of the recipient. I was awoken at 3 am by some herbert banging a drum yelling "Jihad" which had me carefully checking the contents and readiness of my grab bag. Turned out there was a football match the next day and the visitors were staying in my hotel - the performance was arranged to keep them awake and put them off their game.
