Interesting today. Got the first three right on the first guess, which left me still with five or six solutions. I wanted to avoid having to guess which one and risk ending up with five or six trials, so tried to find a word for the second guess which would give me a near 100% hit for the third. Bullseye.

Interesting strategy - I hadn't thought of doing that. Will bear it in mind.

I didn't use this strategy this morning and just started guessing words after the second try, but there were still too many possibilities and that could have backfired ugly. If I hadn't guessed it on the fifth, I might have had to use one more try to finalize it.

I should have used another word on third attempt ignoring the green boxes just to narrow down the consonants and would have had an almost certain solve on fourth.

Obviously this isn't possible when playing hard mode, which is why that is much more difficult.
