I believe Phillip Schofield had been offered the chance to manage Everton, but he turned it down as he was worried about what it would do to his reputation
Des Walker > Kyle Walker

As a united supporter I hate this discussion, but the best defender in the league is Kyle walker. City are so good at defending high because walker is so fast he can make up for the mistakes of others.
He's up there with the KDB as one of their best players
Looks like Rashfird will play up top at the weekend which gives us a chance
TAA is a fantastic footballer who should play in midfield

City are pretty much where United were twenty odd years ago... A hell of a squad, funds to upgrade available and one hell of a manger. Difficult to see beyond City getting the title again next year but it will be interesting to see who they get to replace Gundogan who has been immense, particularly whenever he has been playing against United! But on the assumption that the United sale eventually does go through, they get shot of a few deadwood players and Ten Hag gets a good budget it will be a lot tighter at the top next season.
Joelinton scored on his Brazil debut - get in Big Joe. He can sing too….

🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hope we can get Tonali over the line as he’s a good player. Only 23, won Serie A, played 14 times for Italy and 29 Champions League appearances for Milan. Scores a few goals for a CDM.
Havertz off on 70 minutes having done precisely what I expected from him....nowt. Terrible footballer.
Was sorry to see the injury to the young United lad Diallo, hopefully nothing serious.
As for Arsenal when they had a midfield of Rice, Odegaard and Havertz they were terrible and you could see they hadn't played together. Once Partey came on for Rice they got control of midfield again.
But that will give United confidence as they looked powerful on the break and Sancho looked more like the Dortmund Sancho.
Havertz looked like the Chelsea Havertz.....
Why not just tell the truth. I won everything there is to be won, I’m getting old and likely to be a squad player for the next two seasons before being released. A bunch of Arabs have offered me financial security for life playing beach football, so I’m off. Thank you and good night.
Not a red card for me. Wasn’t high or reckless and wasn’t studs up.
Apart from Arsenal away last season that’s the best away performance I’ve seen from Brighton.
Utd were really dangerous for the first twenty minutes then De Zerbi changed tactics.
Utd were unbeaten for 13 months at home until we became the team to take that off them. We have know beaten them in the last four league games played.
There’s a good side in Utd and the new striker looked a handful. They do seem to have a policy of signing a few problem players and have a lot of players with attitudes.
Not that different to when Ferguson first went to Utd when was a lot of work to do. I think their present manager is going about it the right way.
Spoke to lots of Utd season ticket holders, most of being reflective and some remembered pre Ferguson days so are used to highs and lows.
Good to see Glazer out banners in Stretford End.
Congratulations to you for a considered review and some honest feedback as opposed to the haters who just spiel same old tosh
Brighton we’re great yesterday tweaked tactics and dominated the game and fully deserved the win, as I alluded too you are a pleasure to watch and the model there is something to behold
Hopefully with time and sensible expectations we’ll be back before long enough
Good luck to the seagulls particularly as you enter into Europe I’ll be routing for you

Everton are absolutely awful. No idea in possession.
I hear the bookies are paying out on City winning the league next week.
I genuinely hate Arteta. How did he not get sent off for this?

I wonder if Pep has ever lost 3 in 4 games?
Losing to Newcastle didn’t count because you are oil backed mercenaries.
Losing to Wolves didn’t count because we are waiting for the game to be replayed .
I’m just waiting on confirmation that we didn’t lose to Arsenal but the tin foil hat must be messing with the signal
Happy we won, but what a poor standard of football! City looked terrible, both teams missing key players. Happy to see Martenelli and Partey back playing. Not quite sure why he played Jesus right wing, and Eddie up top, just drop Eddie and play Jesus up front and ESR on the right.
Harsh for Young regardless of Konate I actually thought it spoilt what was a decent game up to that point.
Onana and Doucoure were both excellent, Onana in particular odd decision really substituting him guy was an absolute beast.
Nunes and Elliot made a real difference to Liverpool, I think we can be pretty pedestrian with Jota in the team.
The team (and manager) Everton have I can see them turning this around, some decent players in the squad.
Thought the penalty was pretty clear, his hand was stuck out blocking the cross.
Two excellent goals from Salah.
Agree with Rio and Ally, there should be consistency with cards, on first watch I thought Youngs was never a foul but on the other camera views it was a poor decision from Young to dive in. That being said, a final warning should have been enough rather than a second yellow. Konate was probably more of a card so very harsh on Everton.
Oh well, half the family wont speak to me for a while.......
Sacked in the morning, you’re getting sacked in the morning 🤣🤣
Literally a combination of our second string and youth team.
I really don't get why Arsenal and Utd played weakened teams, it is the one trophy we could actually win, Arsenal have a slim chance at the PL, very very slim, no chance at all at the CL. I know the carabao cup isnt a big deal, but it is still a cup final day out for the fans and a trophy.
I think your team a disservice. I have to admit that I did not think Arsenal would have as good a chance of winning the league this year as they did last.
However watching them this season if City have a wobble, unlikely as that may be, Arsenal should be in a better mental space than they were last year.
With that in mind if Arteta chooses to concentrate on the league it can be understood on some level.
For me the juggernaut that is Man City is neigh on impossible to stop, such is their depth coupled with a fantastic manager, but can’t fault Arteta for believing he has a chance with this Arsenal team and the lessons learned from last season.

I’ve always been a huge Declan Rice fan and I have to say he was immense today. What a player. He has every attribute in abundance. A bargain even at what they paid.
Royale is the worst fullback in the league.
