    Photos of coffee and watches

I've developed a habit of taking photos of my watch after I've made a coffee.

Partly because I am trying to get better at latte art, partly because I like taking photos of my watches!

Here are a few over the past week!

Anyone else want to partake in this strange ceremony?

I thought we were supposed to wear brown brogues at all times!

I will add photos to the thread but can’t make another coffee today as I’ve had my limit.

Search Adrian Barker on YouTube and you'll have a whole world of videos involving watches positioned haphazardly around mugs of coffee!

Not much in the way of latte art on an espresso but just took this one to keep the thread moving.

Don't usually photograph the two together but often take a watch photo while having a quiet coffee.

Looking at a few of my Friday thread posts.. it appears that I’m a bit of a fan of a coffee in the shot.

Marmalade and watches, now we're talking.

Was the 2014 season a good vintage or was the photo taken a while ago?

Long, long ago, in a forum far away, I started a thread entitled "Show me your watch and homemade jam* combos". Looking that up I see I took that photo in May 2015.

Sorry, only just seen this. It is a custom build by Yobokies based in Hong Kong, using a NOS Seiko SNZH case and his own dial, hands, insert. Here is a link to his website:

    https://theyobokies.com/

Unfortunately he has just run out of NOS cases and I'm not sure that he will make these using a used one.

I'm looking to have another made using a UK modder and have just bought a used SNZH57 to use as a base. Here is a list I found of UK modders, if that helps.

Built a couple of those in the past using Yobokies dial and hands - great watches.

Old photo, but lots of parallels between the coffee and watches - I know spend much too much time thinking about both.

This thread made me realise that my taste in watches and coffee machine mirror each other quite well…

So, mostly by accident for me, but:

GS and bulletproof coffee in background
Seiko and a Nero flat white
    Breitling and probably some Nescafe

A quick search through my photos has revealed that I take a heck of a lot more photos of watches with whisky/beer than I do with coffee. In fact I can find only one, taken for last Friday's watch thread:

    Photos of coffee and watches

    Monmouth on Saturday Morning.

For the uninitiated Monmouth coffee is where discerning coffee drinkers in london buy their beans.

    A photographer I am not…

Digging around in the archives I've found that 'watches-with-food' are plentiful, whereas with-coffee are rare.
    Anyway...
