Thanks all, some great inspiration and food for thought here, there's quite a few I haven't heard of and never seen before.
I've created an updated list for more research (sad I know) I do like a good watch hunt and it's certainly game on.
I mentioned 'pilot' style as I was wanting a shift in bias with my collection away from dive style, I'm getting most enjoyment out of wearing with my latest 3 pilot style additions and not just because they are the most recent.
Some fantastic watches pictured, some not me at all i.e. chronos and busy dials etc. some too dressy for me personally, I love the likes of a Dornbluth 99 Center Seconds but they aren't something I'd ever wear.

Very nice and would compliment my 112 very nicely, never been a massive fan of the fully numbered dial though

Good shout, I've had a couple of LW and have had a WTB/been on the look out for a white dial 'The One' for a number of years now

Really like that dial, I always forget to look at Grand Seiko

Thanks again all, the search is on

If you are not interested in Dornblüth, my Stowa Marine Classic from the Jörg Schauer era may not work either, but I thought I would add it to this thread. This has an off-white sterling silver dial, blued hands, fully brushed 40mm case, and handwinding ETA movement.

You can't have a white dial thread without a Great White.

Cracking watch, I've looked at plenty of times along with the smaller 2223, a bit bulky with the bezel though for what I'm currently looking for hence considering the 1087 luminor (price difference helps too!)

My polar explorer 2 is sadly departed from my collection, but I still have these white dials. Plus a very old Tag F1 original, in a drawer somewhere, just not sure where.

This Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Military (ok the name is a handful) has attracted more comments than just about anything else I've ever owned. Pics don't do it justice, it can't capture the eggshell/porcelain texture of the dial, or the really subtle biege infil in the numerals - both seem to disappear when photographed. Even the back (stock pic) is pretty cool (I don't have a pic but there's one in this review https://www.ablogtowatch.com/ulysse-...ilitary-watch/ ) The strap is a custom alligator I had made for it.

That's a great collection, I really like these two.
As mentioned I seem to overlook Grand Seiko and automatically look for mechanical watches - I may need to broaden my search further.....Thanks!

Bought this for myself in 1986, gave it to my dad a couple of years later. When I retrieved it on the occasion of his death, the crystal was nearly opaque with scratches and the bracelet was knackered. But Brasso restored the crystal and I put a cheap expandable bracelet on it. Very practical watch. Slips on and off very quickly, very comfy and surprisingly accurate - considerably more so than my Prospex quartz diver from 1998, for example.

On the white strap that really looks rather good for a summer / holiday one. Tempting indeed.

I love this piece. Some Japan LE.
Initially had white hands, which do look very cool, but visibility is poor, so I have installed blue alternative.

Your choice of handset is a huge improvement - the originals look jarringly wrong by comparison, as well as poorly legible

That Fortis makes me think I should get another, they just got the combinations right on a lot of their older dials/models and the quirky, arty LEs are smile inducing.

Anyone else got one of these? I think strictly speaking is silver rather than white but I see I'm not the only one blurring the lines and it's a lot of watch for the money so what the heck:
