RIP cheap beater:
What I thought was a dead battery proved to be a dead movement.
5 years and £12 is not too bad I guess, and it does at least mean I'm evens again

I haven't bought a watch per se, but I have bought the parts to build one. Now these were bought from the proceeds of swapping a dial and hands for someone. So technically its not a watch and technically it hasn't cost me anything...
Still no changes since November for me… but, I am having fleeting thoughts around shuffling a couple that don’t get worn much.
Name is still on the list for a sub LV as well.
I'm now abstaining for the remainder of 2024 (pending the sale of my company) as I've gone a bit bananas since October 2023, acquiring all the watches in this photo...
In fact I only really wear the IWC and B&R with any regularity; the rest I only very occasionally wear. I might well dispense with all but those two at some point.

LOL!
It's an easy trap to fall into.
Despite having had a new arrival, I’m counting myself as still successfully abstaining as it was technically a trade with Watchfinder and cash my way.
In fact, I’m classing that as doing better than abstaining.
Maybe bending the rules a bit, but that’s what I’m going with !
