I recently acquired this lovely Omega. It is stamped inside the case CS(I) which means its been issued to a British Civil Servant working in India. The serial number dates it to 1943. It has an Omega Caliber 26.5 movement. The winding pinion is missing a tooth.
I sent it to Genesis Watchmaking last week for service. It's had a new winding pinion, new mainspring, new glass and new crown. The movement has been stripped down, cleaned, oiled and reassembled. Duncan tells me that he spent much time manipulating the hair spring and escapement.
