Have seven at the mo, nine when the two I just bought on SC arrive! I'm very interested in an MM but need to sell on some bits and pieces first. Everyday car is an MX5, very much the Seiko of the car world. Telly is Japanese, even my girlfriend is from the east (London, that is).

Personally not, waiting for a 007J from Santa.
My wife however has one of these and loves it
I've had a couple in the past but nothing at the moment; may change that as there are some cracking designs out there-like the vintage King and Grand Seikos 8)

never had one and don't want one, don't care for their design (or rather lack thereof)
Me, and I think I'll never own one...
strangely enough - not yet ;)
I had seiko 5 now I have chron
Me too. :wink:Originally Posted by WORKSIMON
I have one at the moment, but it is also on the Sales Corner as not getting any wear. Have had various Seiko's in the past including a Ti Landmaster which I sold to a guy in New Zealand :banghead: WTF was I thinking :?:
Anyway, would have another in a heartbeat when the funds are available again. The choice is huge, but very much like to have one of the higher end models - maybe a GMT
I don't. I've had a bunch, but they never seem to end up as keepers for me, so I've decided to stay away from them now. Nothing wrong with them, they just ain't me for some reason.

Not a one, and I don't foresee one in the near future. I have nothing against them, but like other brands more.

Now I come to think of it I don't think I ever have

I dont and havent in the past either.
I've got a couple.
Very, very, appealing couple :salute:Originally Posted by Jay

Gotta Love the Seiko :!:
I wore a Seiko quartz for years and years until I discovered mechanical watches. Haven't worn it since but still have it around somewhere I think.

I've got a couple, very good value for the money imho.
Regards Billy.
3 at the moment: a spring drive, a 6R15 (sumo) and a tuna. Plan to acquire a few more.
Far too many probably but I love them! :D :bounce:
My first watch was a Seiko digital in the late 70's and I'm still buying them 30 years on.
Thing is I really don't really like any of the current Seiko range available in the UK. Good job there's so much vintage stuff to choose from. :D
The only ones I like are priced well above what I would pay for a seiko, brand stigma I guess. Plus for the price they are I could buy a nice Sinn, which is far more appealing.
Here are my two, bought a few weeks back from Daniel (Dibetu).
Seiko Quartz, over 30 years old and has only lost one second in 2 weeks, great dress watch.
King Seiko Special, again over 30 years old but runs at -4 secs a day, simply lovely.

Really like the chronograph second from the left, what model is that :?:Originally Posted by jneds

As an addition to my campaign to the 'SC 25', I've been looking for valid things to post and ask...so here's another one - as I look down at my bashed (wabi, right?) Milgauss, I'm thinking perhaps a second watch (aside from a poss. Rolex Explorer) that's not quite as expensive might not be a bad idea.
This thread got me looking at Seikos in more depth - I quite like some of the non-diver Seikos, particularly the highish end models...a GMT feature would be a boon, as it would likely be a travel watch - any recommendations?
And if not SC, where to buy, as other posters have lamented the lack of any serious Seikos sold at ADs?
Never really looked at them until I stared lurking on here.
Got myself a Monster in June and still very happy with it. When I get some spare funds, I have my eye one a couple more too. :)
Gone:
6139's (60002 & 7100)
SBPG001
Got:
6138 3002
Of course!!
had the OM and BM in the past and got over them in no time.
currently have a sammy as a daily wear on and off with a prs 10.
the new'ish one that looks like a sinn or the MM next, but i will have to see them in the metal to decide.
vintage seiko doesn't really do anything for me (now or then :rr: :faroah:)
Seiko was my first "proper" watch which i had to save and save up for. I then moven on to their Sportura range, both of which i now use as daily beaters but can also leave in the draw for days/weeks knowing that the time etc will be spot-on when i get them out (something like a 3 year battery life!!!!)
My first "proper" (i.e. expensive!) watches were all Seiko as well, although quartz. When I became seriously interested in watches last year I bought a Seiko Spirit and a vintage Bellmatic. Both lovely automatic time pieces!
i used to have one as a kid
I do, they're all I have (apart from a Casio Protrek), love them :)
Had many, will probably continue to do so. Have not had a single one that I didn't think exceeded all expectations of value for money.
Cheers,
Steve
Ummm.. just got my first, its only taken me 15+ years. Amazing how many casios I hv managed to rack up in that time :)
I've never had a Seiko, but lately I've been looking at some Panda and Bullhead chronos. You know, the whole "birth year watch" thing.
the 1st watch i was given was a seiko diver from the 80s, then the 1st watch i actually bought myself (after slaving away in an office) was a [attachment=0:2tajdj64]seiko.jpg[/attachment:2tajdj64] seiko coutura.
A Great watch from its durability to put up with a heavy sailing user it kicked started a watch habit and opened my eyes to IWC's and panerai's
Have never had a seiko but have to on my list of wants and as they are the two most affordable things on my list and I am presently skint, I have no doubt I will own one very soon!
I don't and I am afraid I have never really fancied one... Perhaps I am missing something so will have to have a better look at them.

Ex-Mrs bought me one for our wedding present - unfortunately it went when she went & havent had one since!!
