Beautiful example :) I've seen a couple of vintage Heuer's on here latley which have really started to win me over, congratulations :)
by request from denke here is another diver i have
a french made heuer automatic proffesionel diver whit "monnin" movment, this is supposedly a prototype from when heuer set out to test the market for auto divers in the late 70ths early 80ths (aprox 1 year production in 1978/79)
the luminous material in the dial markers and hand still glows brigth green briefly when charged then fade to a ligth custard tone, pretty cool, and it woorks great on a nato strap
big and chunky (42mm X 12,5mm and 20mm luggs) and in nice and untouched condition
classic case lines that are still used in the CWC watches i think
Beautiful example :) I've seen a couple of vintage Heuer's on here latley which have really started to win me over, congratulations :)
Excellent love the heuer divers, thanks for posting.

Nice tat too
Good looking watch, I particularly like the fact that it has a busy dial, but it doesn't appear to be too crowded, however may I be the first to point out that your tatoos really do clash with your sofa :)
Ditto on the movement, never heard of that. Very handsome Heuer!
PS. Those Yakuza San's like finger's in a light soy sauce...mmm

Nice - a few mfrs made watches with that case shape, which I suspect is actually a defined standard of some sort, and not penned by one of the manufacturers. The classic hands to go with this case shape are white sword hands, but there's something about that old-fashioned case and Merc hands that go well together (although I suspect I'm in the minority on this one). Here's one I made earlier:Originally Posted by poormans

I have one (although I have to sell soon  ) from same family, but not Heuer. Case ref. is 844
I think case and movement should be identical with these early Heuers.
Here it is:
I see a small step between the glass and the bezel. If the glass has been changed, can be slighly thinner than the original.
I had same problem and finally I purchased a 3mm thick glass (original size) myself and gave it to the watchmaker.
Good looking watch, like the artwork, are you going colour?,my cherry blossom are pink...im in touch with my feminine side :D
Very nice Heuer! Gratulation!
The watch has no style at all, looks like NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN
What is the name on that watch Diesel?? or Diese??, thanks in advance, James.Originally Posted by witti
It is definitely not Diesel, but DIESE.You could by this kind of 200m divers watches under many different name at that time. (I've seen at least 10) I guess we would call it "cross-badging" today. Of course Heuer is the most well known and highest value today.
i like it,it,s perfect on the nato
A lovely watch indeed,here`s mine:
The movement is a Felca/ESA of some sorts, read a bit about them on Jarls excellent blog;http://classicheuers.blogspot.com/20...ade-diver.html
And some of its close relatives... 8)
And a group shot:
