    Woohoo! my GMT2c has arrived!!!

Just had a call from EJ in Bluewater and good news, the GMT2 and the Subby ND that i've been waiting 2 months for has finally arrived! Just whizzing down there now to decide which one to go for; will almost certainly be the GMT...but you never know with me, i have a tendency to change my mind at the last moment :)

Anyway - if you see a BMW 540 caning it down the M2 at breakneck speed, you know who it is, and why :)

    Watch this space...

Good stuff! in my opinion the GMTIIC is the much superior watch...Maxi Dial, bigger case, ceramic bezel, better bracelet with solid links and much improved clasp, plus the GMTIIC has a date and GMT complication.

Good luck choosing though, I'm sure you'll love whatever one you get.

Do you have a Signet Card? If not, is there a member nearby to get you a 10% Signet discount?

Re: Woohoo! my GMT2c has arrived!!!

Was a no-brainer in the end. As much as i love the classic look of the ND, i just had to pay the extra and go with the GMT. The hollow end-links were the ultimate deal-breaker for the ND. Why-oh-why did Rolex not just put the solid end-links on the ND ages ago? that said, the GMT looks a bit more classy - maybe a bit more bling but certainly not what i'd consider brash.

I used my Signet card but the terms on the card are that you cannot negotiate a discount. Not fussed really as it was insurance payout and they payed me out a lot more than i paid for the watches that were stolen.

I'll put some pics up later, got to get on with some DIY now - i'm under strict orders :)

I do keep having regrets about not buying the GMT IIC a couple of months ago, had it in my hands, had the money on the card but the salesman was just a pain and i ended up walking away because of that, i do keep having twinges about getting one, maybe one day :(

WOW. What a picture! It is very flash, not least the little detail of the rolex insignia around the inside rim as you have photographed it. But as much as I like it, i fear that it would simply make my hand and wrist look too masculine if I were wearing it. That's not to say that some women can get away with wearing it, I just don't think I am one of them.

Very nice. I'll be interested to know how delicate the polished links are in terms of swirlies. That and the cyclops was a deal-breaker for me in a similar choice to the one you had. Bu the maxi dial is definitely yummers

great choice    Welcome to the GMTII-C club!!! I have been away for a short break to Germany and was wearing mine - It's a perfect travelling watch and oh-so comfortable with the micro-adjuster making the switch between -2C and +22C wrist sizes so easy (I find mine shrink in the cold - oh-er musses :?) - highly recommended. I had my centre links polished out much to some peoples dismay - but I love the look - and no need to worry so much about swirlies!
