I know the feeling, my wife takes the piss all the time..." All he does is look at his bloody watches and is glued to that TZ UK...yadda yadda yaddda ".... :?
My wife has just threatened to join TZ.....
She said:
"You're nicer to all those watch weirdos than you are to me. I think I'll join TZ so we can talk to each other online. Maybe then we might have a conversation....."
I have to say I laughed out loud and she did the same, so all is well at base camp. Anyway, I'm off for a coffee and a chat with the wife now.
PS I think she is catching the watch bug as I caught her wearing my Rolex Oyster last week!
PPS She doesn't think we're weirdos really :!:

My wife definitely thinks we are all weirdos. :blackeye:
So does mine, I was just being polite really. :DOriginally Posted by Steve264
And now our friends as well now she's told them all :lol:Originally Posted by Steve264
Not much to contribute to this conversation, except perhaps note that there are certain advantages to being, well, not married anymore :D
BTW the wives are quite correct in their judgement; we are weirdos

PS My former wife was a hi-octane b**ch who knew how to hurt me
S.
She laughed, oh dear you're in trouble
 I wonder how many women have ever called TZ-UK anything other than 'that bl**dy watch forum again'?
So far I've had to buy my missus a 14060M and a 50% share of a white dial Explorer 2 ('our' wedding anniversary gift to each other) just to keep her quiet! :D
My wife joining TZ-UK is my worst nightmare.
Don't think about it or you won't sleep at night!Originally Posted by Toshi

well...mine now tells me that "my watch boyfriend" is on the phone, when Carl (gasgasbones) calls me to have our weekly cuppa...
Thats just cruel. :DOriginally Posted by pulga69

GOT...TO...KILL...CAPTAIN STUPID!
My wife thinks I neglect her due to TZ-UK and I've been forced to stay up late when she has gone to bed before I can post or I sneak on when she's not looking

it really does my girlfriends head in when she`s driving and i`ll be using her blackberry to check out tz. ive got used to her moans now, she just leaves me alone and i`m happy on ere.

Yeah - the watch-liking SWMBO thing has it's upsides huh?! :) Mine loves Nato straps - we have just about every colour and pattern imaginable - so I can wear her watches without adding links to the bracelets. :DOriginally Posted by Mrcrowley
How nice to know we are getting the same comments from our wifes, Mine even comes to see what i am doing even when working, To which i reply look at these funny watches, This never gets a comment back.
Read between the lines and be careful!
Wearing your Rolex and saying she is joining TZ.
She might end up worse than you.
Hell fire..... she might one of you guys :!: .....anonymity behind usernames.   :shock:Originally Posted by TheMaestro

Why not, you can't beat a little bit of Reader's Wives, now can you. :D
Pfff, I'm lucky I guess, no interest in watches with my wife.
But she can laugh at the silly remarks ans pics that get posted here now and then.
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
If my wife joined the forum I'd have to be more open about how much the watches really cost :?
Fortunately she's happy with her own world of forums, and reasonably tolerant of my WIS leanings :)

I think that would almost be as bad as my wife wanting to take up golf. For now, she is happy with a baby g-shock every couple of years.
I get the odd 'are you on that forum again?',or 'is that a new watch?' etc etc,but basically she's not too fussed.
begs the question....are there any female member on here?
probably been asked before i know :D
Get her to join!
I don't want to be the only woman here!!
You poor thing... you must feel like a Tasmanian Tiger in here   :lol:Originally Posted by Victoria C

On the one hand my wife tells me that I have a watch fetish, but recently told her cousin's husband that he should join too
I think that she views as an (expensively) harmless hobby that stops me from working all hours and keeps me happy while she watches shite on the telly.
High Command is quite used to me being on these forums and just makes occasional quips about "watch p0rn" to me but otherwise is quite happy to leave me to it. She only rolls her eyes a bit now when a Special Delivery parcels turn up and is content to leave me licking jewellers' windows unsupervised - at least she knows where I am then :drunken: . I reckon I'm pretty lucky overall.
She did laugh when I read her the first few posts in this thread about being weird and sad etc - with which she wholeheartedly agreed :D :D so thankfully the chances of her joining the foums are remote to say the least.
watches are lovely but if there was a food forum (actually i'm sure there is)... food television is porn.... (kind of - the the type that's allowed) ...and then the other thing i need is a shoe/fashion forum. You'd never get me off the computer. Oh... I spend too long here as it is!
My wife definately knows I'm a weirdo and based on the fact I seem to get on with so many of you, comforts me to know you are all weirdos too!!!
“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
watches and TZ-Uk are a hobby.....as I tell my wife..
gentlemen have a variety of hobbies --- Tiger Woods has an interesting hobby..
...all of the sudden wife didn't mind the watch hobby...
I do have a partner but they are not into watches! They wear a Tag that I gifted them.Originally Posted by hsukirk

She has hers, I have mine. All is good in the hood :)
I only "came out" and told my wife about going on these forums a few days ago, and she laughed her socks off - said she never knew she had married a geek. a liitle harsh, i think. (especially as she wants to try on a couple of new Omegas for Christmas  ).
