    TZ long suffering wife

My wife has just threatened to join TZ.....

    She said:

"You're nicer to all those watch weirdos than you are to me. I think I'll join TZ so we can talk to each other online. Maybe then we might have a conversation....."

I have to say I laughed out loud and she did the same, so all is well at base camp. Anyway, I'm off for a coffee and a chat with the wife now.

PS I think she is catching the watch bug as I caught her wearing my Rolex Oyster last week!

PPS She doesn't think we're weirdos really :!:

I know the feeling, my wife takes the piss all the time..." All he does is look at his bloody watches and is glued to that TZ UK...yadda yadda yaddda ".... :?

Not much to contribute to this conversation, except perhaps note that there are certain advantages to being, well, not married anymore :D

BTW the wives are quite correct in their judgement; we are weirdos

 I wonder how many women have ever called TZ-UK anything other than 'that bl**dy watch forum again'?

So far I've had to buy my missus a 14060M and a 50% share of a white dial Explorer 2 ('our' wedding anniversary gift to each other) just to keep her quiet! :D

Yeah - the watch-liking SWMBO thing has it's upsides huh?! :) Mine loves Nato straps - we have just about every colour and pattern imaginable - so I can wear her watches without adding links to the bracelets. :D

Read between the lines and be careful!

Wearing your Rolex and saying she is joining TZ.

She might end up worse than you.

Pfff, I'm lucky I guess, no interest in watches with my wife.
But she can laugh at the silly remarks ans pics that get posted here now and then.

    Cheers,

If my wife joined the forum I'd have to be more open about how much the watches really cost :?
Fortunately she's happy with her own world of forums, and reasonably tolerant of my WIS leanings :)

I think that would almost be as bad as my wife wanting to take up golf. For now, she is happy with a baby g-shock every couple of years.

I get the odd 'are you on that forum again?',or 'is that a new watch?' etc etc,but basically she's not too fussed.

Beats getting caught 'spanking the monkey' to naked ladies on the web though

On the one hand my wife tells me that I have a watch fetish, but recently told her cousin's husband that he should join too

I think that she views as an (expensively) harmless hobby that stops me from working all hours and keeps me happy while she watches shite on the telly.

High Command is quite used to me being on these forums and just makes occasional quips about "watch p0rn" to me but otherwise is quite happy to leave me to it. She only rolls her eyes a bit now when a Special Delivery parcels turn up and is content to leave me licking jewellers' windows unsupervised - at least she knows where I am then :drunken: . I reckon I'm pretty lucky overall.

She did laugh when I read her the first few posts in this thread about being weird and sad etc - with which she wholeheartedly agreed :D :D so thankfully the chances of her joining the foums are remote to say the least.

watches are lovely but if there was a food forum (actually i'm sure there is)... food television is porn.... (kind of - the the type that's allowed) ...and then the other thing i need is a shoe/fashion forum. You'd never get me off the computer. Oh... I spend too long here as it is!

I only "came out" and told my wife about going on these forums a few days ago, and she laughed her socks off - said she never knew she had married a geek. a liitle harsh, i think. (especially as she wants to try on a couple of new Omegas for Christmas  ).
