Serious bit of belt tightening in the Ross household this christmas then :D
i note from todays Telegraph that Johnathan Ross has volunteered for a pay cut of £3M per annum and reckons he can now bump along on £3M a year.
Ahhh, bless.....

personally don't find the guy that funny but hats off to him if he really has volunteered to half his salary. He is still on a good wedge of course but that is a serious pay cut.
wanker.
Credit to him, but he's still not worth 3m per year of taxpayers money. I'd say half a mil max.
No doubt his new deal means he has more freedom to go to other channels or go back to flogging pizzas, so he'll get the other 3mil some other way...
Fair play to him. Im sure there arent too many folk who volunteer for a 50% paycut.
Agreed. Good luck to him, i bet none of his detractors would turn up their noses if a contract of £3M/£6M was offered for signature :POriginally Posted by sjstrange
Best thing to cut off him..........................

Taking a 50% cut sounds a lot, but when you are earning £6M/year is a bit of a so what, especially if your job consists of "chatting (normally over the top of people) for 50 minutes on a Friday and "playing a few records" on a Saturday morning for a couple of hours and a state funded Radio/TV station.
It aint exactly rocket science and I am sure there are 100's or other people who would be happy to do for £100,000 a year.
I also suspect the Wossy was given an offer he could not refuse by the BBC - either a 50% reduction or try not to let the door hit your arse on the way out :D .
My heart bleeds for him

I wish mate, less than 1% of his new salary is closer to the mark :( .Originally Posted by boddah
