Either of these would enhance your collection IMO....
Flightmaster..
SM120
Having kind of drifted into collecting as something to do with my Dad's money while the banks are paying nothing, I've ended up with 4 Omegas this year.
An X-33 2nd Gen, because it does everything I need a watch to do
A Seamaster f300 Lobster, out of curiosity, and what's not to like
A 1967 Seamaster 300m, because it is so beautiful
A 1966 Speedmaster, because, well, you know...
I've had no plan except to peruse SC every so often, and make an offer if I love what I see.
The current thread on plans for 2010 made me realise I have none, so what vintage Omegas should I be looking out for this year?
Merry Christmas
Duncan

Original Proplof
Flightmaster
X-33
Pre moonwatch Speedy
It's just a matter of time...
I've taken a shine to the Speedy MKIIs with the "Racing" dial.
Thanks Neil,Originally Posted by Neil.C
The Flightmaster might grow on me (the X-33 did, I bought it very much for function over form, but now find I like the look).
The SM120 I'm not so sure I could love. The SM300 looks so much more elegant...

Well I've 2 of the 4 covered. I think that a Ploprof would be a purchase to improve the collection rather than out of love, but those Flightmasters are growing on me. How much do they go for?Originally Posted by Omegamanic

And given that picture I can see why. I can see I'll have to do some research into the 'Marks'Originally Posted by vRSG60
What about the auto version of this, as we are about to start a new decade, this will be vintage before you know it :)

'Ploprof' - a classic and much better than the reissue!
Seamaster 1000
'Big Blue' - for an excellent example, check out Victor's FS post on SC.
'Anakin' (this one's a keeper for me)
Just caused me to look for pictures...Originally Posted by Wooster
I'm not normally a dress watch kinda guy, but I do like that look, and prices seem very reasonable compared to the more macho models.
I've not seen either of these come up for sale - I'd certainly find it hard to resist.Originally Posted by Chye
Both a little too brutal in the styling department for me to really love.Originally Posted by Chye
I have, and it does look gorgeous. I can't see the wife accepting the price for a while...Originally Posted by Chye
Think I'd need to see one in the flesh. There's something about the angles on those cases which don't quite do it for me.Originally Posted by Chye
Thanks for the suggestions - I'm learning a lot.

I am still waiting for the right one for me, but it will sure happen sooner or later. And their looks are indeed from a time when men did not have to wear a 46-47 mm watch in order to feel secure about the size :lol:Originally Posted by dmcg
