    Lucky No 7 and an New Year Wish for Eddie-Claus!

    I’ve been reflecting this morning on what I’ve been up to since joining the forum in April. If you count the traditional lurking period, I’ve been enjoying TZ as my main reference site for about a year now, and oh, what a year it’s been as far as my watch collection is concerned :shock:

    When I started using TZ’s facilities I had a;

    Bremont EP-120 – which I returned
    Omega NZL-32 – sold via TZ
    PAM 250 – sold via TZ

    The above gave me a decent watch fund to start building a new collection, which I decided to be strong and buy myself a 6 watch box, allowing me to have a collection of 7 as I would always be wearing one and 7 being a lucky number. I’ve floundered on a few occasions, almost convincing myself to have one for vintage and one for new, but I’ve managed to exercise my demons and stuck to my plan. :wink:

    The building of my collection and learning curve, courtesy of TZ has been great fun for me, not that the misses see’s it that way, 2009 has opened up many doors. Since consolidation my original collection I’ve gone through a TZ journey of discovery which has led me to;

    Randall Benson USN Moded Seiko – Flipped
    PRS-50 – Traded
    Fortis Marinemaster - Flipped
    PAM 24 – Current
    PAM 292 – Current
    Anonimo Militare 2004 – Current
    Sinn UX GSG – Current
    Ball Engineer Master II Aviator – Current
    Doxa T-Graph Sea Rambler – Recent Acquisition
    Squale 101 Atmos – Just Traded

    So here we have it, the box is full! But, where is number 7? :roll:

    Well I recently traded my PRS-50 for a Squale Atmos 101, both watches I loved, but somehow the collection didn’t seem quite right and I couldn’t put my finger on it, apart from I still wanted something vintage and a little different. It became apparent having 4 diver’s was the issue for me and this was what I needed to change, something a little dressier perhaps.

    I finally completed a deal/trade with my Squale yesterday and I’ve got a wonderful little number coming in from the 70’s next week.

    So without further ado, please let me introduce you to my lucky number 7 :rr:

    PS: There will however be one exception to my rule, and that is one of Eddie’s Full Lume Italian’s when they’re available. So, Eddie, if your reading this post, please take pity on a poor addict and assist me with getting an LE fix and remember, an addict isn’t just for Xmas, it’s for life! :D

    PPS: What do you think, am I insane? Who else has has a similar year?

    Merry Crimbo One & All

    Aaron

    Aye, nice one indeed.

    Definite retro feel and a pretty dial at that. Congrats.

    Thanks guys, I'm looking forward to its arrival next week...

    I will probably have to get a strap made for it. I was thinking of a racing style perhaps, blue with orange stiching, what do you think Rich :wink:
