Strap Help

I'm looking to get a black strap with an orange element for use with the Orange Monster. I've found this offering from watchbandcentre.com. Unfortunately the strap is 20cm long w/o the buckle. With my wrists being small I find even 18.5cm long straps have significant overhang, so a 20cm long strap would look silly.

I'm wondering if there are any similar straps around which are slightly shorter (anything around 18cm would be great) or if anyone has experience with trimming a leather strap and what the best way to go about it is.

Looks really good. I would prefer that it did not have the orange stitch across the strap near the lugs.
