I'm not normally that keen on Rolex watches, but that is my favourite of the collection ... Nice shot! :)

To be honest I've no idea what the fuss about the bracelet is. I don't feel like its out of proportion to the watch, it does its job very well, and personally I find straight bracelets less appealing, so I'm pretty chuffed with it.

I completely agree with you. I've heard people complain about the width of the bracelet so many times  , but when you wear the watch it seems just right (to me, at least).

    Glad you're enjoying it, Cliff.

Unlike the Rolex Website shots its totally unobtrusive. Blends in IMO.

the people that mention the bracelet are usually the ones who dont own one, the deepsea sits really well on the bracelet, no head droop at all,

    looks good 8)

Nice jacket - looks like Belstaff Panther.

As for the watch - may not, however why do you have your cuff undone - eh!! A bit on the tight side me thinks :D

Glad you're liking it. Mine has rendered all my other watches redundant, even after seven months, I have no desire to wear anything else !

Very impressed by the Deepsea, it's just the thickness. :?

When you get used to it does it make the classic Sub/SD's seem like toys?

I'll probably end up getting one though.

Re: It's not even THAT big, once you get used to it...

Thanks guys! I can honestly say that properly sized it doesn't wear top-heavy, and I don't find it any more intrusive than any of my other watches, and my cuffs todays aren't THAT spacious. The details and the build quality are just immense and I can see this being all I wear for a good while. Its heavy enough that other watches feel like they don't exist when you wear them, but not heavy enough to be a distraction. 100x comfier than an original SD IMHO.

I find the SD really uncomfortable due to the comparatively small surface area of the case back (compared to a Sub or the DS) and find they dig into my wrist. I had to sell a v-serial SD because of this, and couldn't buy a 1665 (which I really wanted) for the same reason. When I had the SD I also had an LV and a ND and after the first week of excitement I never found myself reaching for the SD. Also the DS sits much flatter to the wrist than the SD did, so I'd say if either of them was "top-heavy" or "floppy" its the SD and not the DS. All in my experience and opinion you understand, but that's all I base my decisions on. :)

Yup, but it's a Rolex.... and I just sold a few because I just can't wear them in the open public (sounds dumb, I know.... but clients do know Rolex, but they don't know JLC for example)...

    But I'll see ;-)

I have only tried one on and it is quite comfortable on my 7" erist. Feels top-heavy as you put it on but rests beautifully on the wrist. I hate the text and that prohibits me from considering one.
