Your car boot sales are clearly very different to any I've ever been to!!
Love the X-33.... it's on my list and shall be mine one day!!
Cheers!
Dave.
Hi all
After a barren 2009 I decided enough was enough... splashed out on these two at the local car boot sale, NOS as well :D
First up is a X-33 1st gen, booted on one of our own gasgasbones straps:
Next up is the Great White (yes finally found one), booted on a different gasgasbones straps:
Finally both the new beauties on metal:
...plus it wouldn't be a post unless I did a naff group hug:
I now feel qualified to not only travel around our planet, but flight qualified to go to Mars :D
Thanks to Carl for making these great strap... a true gent and a pleasure to deal with.
Thanks
deano

You can't go wrong. I prefer the one with the white dial
Is this not only a throughly well thought out but also a very refined and tasty Omega collection or what?
Congrats mate, cannot wait to see the NKOTBīs in steel.
like that allot
Heyoooooo X33, way to go! Alarm which deserves to be called alarm! :bom:
All are nice. I mostly like the one with the white dial. Thanks for the pics.
Very nice pieces - congrats Deano!
Thats a nice tripple. I really like the great white, and been looking for one of these for a long time.
But i always get to the SC to late when they come up.
Nice watches, Deano, nice watches :)
Great watches Deano, congrats!
Mark
Love the white one, i'm too scared to call it 'the great white' though as the vintage rolex mob will come after me as they seem to have trademarked every name for their watches
Couple of nice catches Deano 8)
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Hi all
Thanks for the comments...
...these two took some real thinking. It all started with a quest to find a suitable GMT about a year ago.
I cannot count how many times I have had a GMTIIc on my wrist, I must have picked up some record for trying them on from ADs far and wide: Cannes, Schipel, Munich, London and of course Bedford
But no matter how many times I looked at that cyclops... it just said "it won't work, you won't love me". I tried the Yao modded rolex-a-like (minus cyclops) and I really did find a GMT useful, but knew it had to be something other than the big "R".
Omega was the next natural choice... the current SMP GMT has this stubby half hand that looks awful :? Then the search went to the older GMTs, the black face (whilst nice) is a bit too shiny... so it was on for a Great White.
And it seemed that every time one turned up I was destined to miss it.
But I did get lucky and managed to track down a NOS... TBH it wasn't at the local car boot sale :D
The X-33, just seemed to be in place at the right time... I thought that would make a nice trio.
Downside is that I do have to let two or three watches go:
GMT Milsub is on the block now... soon to be followed by my TSAR ( :( ) and then a 007.
Anyway I'm a happy camper with these three Omegas.
Thanks
deano
A boot sale ! Really ?
