Zinex..... what's people thoughts ?

I trust you are all well...

As the title say's what are your thoughts on Zinex, Have you had one ? How did you find it ...etc

I have got a bit of a thing for Divers at the moment and seeing a few on sales corner they have taken my eye. I like the look of the Heliox as it has a few nods to the past but seems to also be very well made. They seem to have a good following over on watchuseek and the owner seems to like getting people involved in the design etc. I have also noticed that they will not be trading for much longer as Zinex and it will change to Zixen (legal reasons apparently) They seem to have some nice design up and coming as well http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthr...t=zixen&page=8

So if anyone has any thoughts I would love to hear them.....

I had the Nitrox and thought it was a well made piece. The bezel click alone oozed quality.
I would have kept mine but for the Oris Small Seconds that I have in my collection and just thought they were just too similar. I doubt you would be disappointed.

If you like the designs go for it. Had the pleasure to inspect the Nitrox and its a large beast.... Faaar tooo biggg for my 8" wrists. Very well made but probaly not too well designed for comfort wear.

i like their designs, vintage lines with modern technology. Good quality from all the reports ive seen, but imo overpriced for wat they are, built and assembled in china. If precista ever release a watch of similar calibre, im sure eddies price will be 1/2 of wat zinex is asking. :D

I'm quite a fan of their designs, particularly the Heliox 8)

Waaaaay too expensive new though - a brand to buy 2nd hand methinks... :)

Had a Nitrox which was fine but not really a true Zinex, unlike the Trimix which Joe made from scratch, I love my Trimix, great watch!

Yeah I'm a fan of the trimix and the nitrox. Just out of my budget i'm afraid.
I'm digging the new lauch of the Zixen and their new line coming, DSR-1000 GMT is my fav. They have a huge selection of new models. They hope to launch around or before Basel 2010. Its awesome. Very modern vintage styling. Again, out of my budget. :(
Someday, a pre owned will make its way to me.

Have the Nitrox that i bought second hand.
Works great and looks unique. Bad is the 93 click bezel.
And its not the Eta motor in it.
I think the models availble today is far to expensive compared with the others made in china.
But i enjoy mine.
Will not buy the newer one becouse the pricing.

i think the nitrox has a swiss eta 2824. but 93 clicks bezel? wats with all these chinese factories, cant they count? 1st its hte 58 clicks ocean7 now zinex? even the new Helson has 45clicks? wat the? :roll: :roll: Much too expensive for chinese QC imo.

Correct, my fault, i was mixing up with the Deep Blue Master 500 which has the miyota.

The bezel click issue is not an deal breaker for me, but its a pity that the do not make it right, the first time.

I have the SharkDiver and the LM-7 too, to make the click issue complete.

Compare the Wilson 2K , Deep Blue Master 2000 or Octopussy from Roland Kemmner they all have 120 clicks at the half the price, almost...
I presume that the Sonic does too.

I really like their existing models and I'm very tempted to get one, especially the heliox. I don't really like the forthcoming models.

Yes, where are they made? I'm waiting to see how the new 44m Trimix looks as I am also tempted. Surely not PRC at this price??

Had a Trimix PVD Big Date.Awesome watch & imo worth the money,especially
when you are buying second hand like i did.
It is a big sucker & if you like biggies go for it.
My wrists are too puny so i sold it.

yeah my concern was mainly the price. I do like the look and they seem to have good customer service etc.

I never really liked Doxa but even they are starting to appeal and they have a sale on. However even with sale they also seem expensive.

For the design, quality and finish I think they're worh the price. You'd be surprised how good the watches are. The Trimix and Heliox have a more refined finish than their first dive watch the Nitrox. Again their new offerings for 2010 look fantastic! I can't wait to see the new Trimix 44mm- probably my next purchase.
Here's is my 46mm Pepsi trimix. I adore this watch but sadly for me this is going to a new home next week (Had to admit to myself it was a bit too big for me :cry: )

Agreed about the comfort :)
But a very well made piece, with great dial design, and by far my most precise watch in the collection.
Beats my Rolex all the way with it's 3sec/ a week!!

As quality seemed good and I lost patience as no DN GMT were forthcomming, I bought the Trimix.

Just got this from the Sales forum its the 500m Nitrox Swiss movt,anyways for what i paid i think its a fine watch no complaints so far as to the bezal click issue well for me its not an issue but i agree the QC should be better.I find that for a large watch it sits well on my 7.5" wrist especially on the supplied rubber strap.

I have no idea what the new pricing is on this piece as its sold out but i like the watch so far.

With Zixen I like what I see but there is better value for dollar out there. Great customer service though!
