Lovely watch but even more cool that it came from your dad 8)
Yep.. thats a cool watch... even better when it has the history... hopefully I can pass on my 2 rollies in about 15 years time to my sons :)
My 5513 Sub which I bought new in 1976. Closely followed by my "Deep Sea" bought new last year.

Awesome, and with such family heritage it just gets better!!
Very nice Murph in every possible way - but do you mean literally untouched or just worn with care?Originally Posted by MuRph77

Choice, I love historic Rolex. The older models are really nice.

Yep. I've hardly taken it off in the last seven months, and I still can't get over how special it is.

Very nice bet your dad was the (Bees Knees ) in 1986. Together with the watch the envy of his mates.
He had a 1675 before that and a 6263 "Daytona" before that, which he disliked !!!!!...nobody wanted'em in the 70's he reckons, it was all about the subs'n GMTs..... Paaaaaaaaaaaaaah ! the beauty of hindsight.Originally Posted by Bee.M

Tough Q...
I'd say the following for it's sheer rarity (I only know of another 2, and NONE in this condition/configuration), gold content 80 gr of solid 18k, and high end quartz movement... nothing less than my NOS Omega La Magique cal. 1357.
Though my MINT Omega Holy Grail 376.0822 (Lemania 5100) just having returned from service in Omega OZ, and of course the Gen1 TYPE1 Ploprof compete fiercely for the coveted spot (excuse the links I have yet to master making the pictures under 800 so I can post from Photobucket... possibly transfer them to Flickr? Has anyone had this issue?)
My Grail:

What a lovely piece. That is the exact watch I am hoping to acquire in the next 12 months or so as a birth year watch.
Lovely.
