Thread: Can we mod a Seiko Kinetic ??

Can we mod a Seiko Kinetic ??

I've seen that there are hundreds of after-market goodies for the automatics, but so far I see little mention of the same for the later kinetics. I'm talking about items such as faces, hands, glass, bezel inserts etc.

Maybe you know if the automatic items will fit the kinetic watches !?
Maybe Harold or Noah can step in and tell us what they have and what can be done ?

I'm particularly interested in customising the SKA427 which looks like this out of the box:

The condom/fishbone hands don't seem to be very popular.

Check out the SCWF, there have been a few postings regarding hand swaps

I doubt if Noah will be responding or working for a while as he's just broken his collar bone playing rugby.

Funny you should bring this up - been thinking the same thing.
Like every think about my Yellow BFK apart from the hands........

This looks like a good mod though with SKX hands:

Next question - how easy is it to do a 'hand swap'?

Easy enough with the right tools........... says he who has just buggered up a set of hands by trying to refit them by using a biro tube
