Haldimann Horology - the ultimate WIS watch?

The Ultimate WIS watch that does not tell time anymore :D :D :D So we can wear a second one to tell time

Adjusted to within 2 seconds per day but no hands to tell time, so one can focus on the hand made Tourbillion

Is this the future of the wristwatch as we know it? Will be shown to the public at Baselworld.

    Pictures from the www:

An interesting article about Haldimann, his workshop and his watches:

Don't think I will ever wear one :D

An amazing thing - however rather pointless if you are a pleb like me. I perfer a 3 bridges GP - which has hands and you can tell the time with it.

if you can't tell the time on it isn't it a bit like having a georgeous and willing woman with no holes? 8)

Fail to see how it can still be called a watch. I'm sure it's a brilliant piece of engineering, but to call it a watch is cobblers. I think someone should take him to one side and explain about the hands... :D

Lovely piece of kit, but rather pointless as a watch. I would guess itīs merely a showpiece and wont go into production, unless somebody with tons of cash to waste wants one.

A lovely piece. If i had one i would use it as an excuse as to why i was late all the time.

Yeah, it always bothers me too... those damn hands always getting in the way.

It reminds me of the famous 'Faulty Towers' episode, where Basil Faulty complains "how can he be expected to run an hotel, when he constantly has guests coming and going."

Surely if you cannot tell the time it's not a watch :?

I agree. It's jewellery or a gizmo if it doesn't have a method of indicating time.
(I was going to write "if it doesn't have hands", but thought better of it.)
How do we know if it's accurate?

Very nice, though pointless as a timepiece.

Interesting but seems rather difficult to read the time - am I the only one who thinks this :?:

Not a watch IMO, but a very pretty little mechanical gadget.
