Pure class - 8)
A brand respected by many and i'm looking at possibilities. What do 'we' think ?
Any owners care to share their views?
Pure class - 8)
I like them, classic gold dress piece and they seem great value pre-owned.

Love mine!
It just stands out so much from the rest of the watches I have owned (then again this is the only truly "high-end" watch I have owned).
The only downside is the expense and sometimes I think of what else I could own if I "cashed this in".
(Of the 3 options, definitely good)
Love all of mine, LOVELY products, but now with 5, time to go for this as well as the one I have on SC at the mo....
They're a really good company manufacturing some fantastic watches, i do think they've gone a bit off track with the new fifty fathoms and all the variants, i used to love those the most, then i saw them in the flesh and they look a bit too 'plasticy' and colourful for my liking.
But, there are so many classics that they do, the build quality is great, the movements are fantastic and they look as good as anything on the market, the normal fifty fathoms is a beauty though, as are the lemans and the other chronos, oh yeah, they also make one of the best bracelets on the market.
This is superb to wear - the bracelet is probably one of the best around
Well this wont surprise one contibutor to the thread, who iirc has seen one of these up close?
I'm seriously considering this stealthy little fella.
Love mine and I really think you can feel the quality .
Have to agree that some of the newer stuff has gone somewhat off track.

i love the vintage stuff,a vintage ff is a must if i ever cobble enough money together
I've had this one for about 10 years and it's still with me so yes I think they're good. Interesting alternative to a Sub...
The problem with me about the brand is less about "Good, bad and Ugly" and more about the need of "A fistfull of Dollars" to buy the one I like.
Lovely watches. I'd love a FF but they are just a bit too big - which is great news for my solvency.

Yeah, i loved the FF DLC when i saw it being released, went after it and when i finally saw one in the flesh it just didn't look right, the DLC is a bit too shiny, with the bezel it made the watch look a bit 'plasticy' for me and i ended up getting something else. This isn't to say that you or others wouldn't love this look, but for me i love the rugged look and a matt PVD/DLC, this was more of a gloss finish.

As things transpire, the coveted DLC exercise on the PAM 233 is suddenly back on, so that is what i'll doubtless end up pursuing after all.

So the 233 could be rescued, that would be good, just make sure the firm know how to do a watch, they start doing the whole case and suddenly the glass won't go back in!
Tried on a FF in NYC. Its got Sea Dweller disease as far as I am concerned, in that I just didn't find it comfortable. Unlike a Sea Dweller, I wasn't that bothered, because I didn't particularly like it anyway. Definitely not one to buy "blind" IMHO.
I have got a vintage FF Milspec 1 and I really love it...
Oh Neil, you are doing it to me AGAIN  - just love this watch :drunken:Originally Posted by Flashharry
In answer to the OP. "GOOD" - tried on the new FF Chrono in Bangalore and its was the mutts - much nicer and better quality IMHO to the DSSD which I tried on at the airport the previous week.
Down side - price and availability.

There's no doubting the fantastic quality, it's a brand I keep trying to like, but as yet haven't fallen for enough to take the plunge. The FF is a classic.
Sorry Andy...... you will have to see it in the steel one day.Originally Posted by Andyg

That black dialled 2850 is absolutely gorgeous.... current owner considering flipping ?? ....
now where was I ?
I owned a Blancpain FF and i must say it was by far the best built watch i've owned
and the quality of materials is 1st class,Shadowman that stealth version looks awesome
go for it leaps and bounds above Panerai

Definately 'Good' imho. Classy looking and not as common as some other barnds.
I absolutely love them and will hopefully own one some day - still regret not getting luke's rose gold one a couple of years ago - sheer class
Not too keen on the not completely accurate claim to have been in production since 1735.
Simply beautiful & 'toolike', best of both worlds IMO. Would definitely go for one of those in the future.Originally Posted by numberjack

Cheers,

GOOD............the build quality and finish
BAD...............the way they restrict supply of parts so that you're pretty well forced to use them for servicing if anything needs replacing
UGLY..............one ot two of their latest offerings

What ,this ?

Undoubted build quality I'm sure, but aesthetically?..................

I like the fifty fathoms model, but from what I hear the service price is quite high (where I live).
What is ludicrous is the cost of the strap-changing gizmo (tool kit) - a very reasonable £400!!Originally Posted by Len

I spent considerably less on 2 allen keys to do the job (2 x 69p, I recall)
Urrrrrrggggg-laaaaayyyyy!
Not a fan I'm afraid. Either too shiny or too plain.
I just collected a BB FF chrono yesterday.
It's on my wrist now and I love it.
I was a bit apprehensive that it would be too big (oh er) but it looks fantastic.
The build quality and attention to detail is beautiful :)

Some are nice in stainless steel, but in gold? Horrible! Sorry, just a personal view, anyway I really don't like any watches in gold.
We need pictures, please     :lol:Originally Posted by whoami

Some steel versions I like ... gold not really my style
I'm not sure about the gold models, but the steel sports designs are pretty sweet.
Never really looked at them much to be honest so couldn't call good or bad. However, from the examples on display here, they're certainly not ugly....quite the opposite in my opinion.
Yes, sorry I do mean yellow gold, I also do not like that rose coloured gold that seems to be thing nowdays. But white gold or platinum is cool though.Originally Posted by wisemoth
I love the watch - Dark Knight - and I will have one - still wanting a 50th anniversary tho - bit smaller case - but then I'm sure I'd get away with the bigger ones these days.
It's just a matter of time...
