Most Pleasing Things (Response to Most Annoying Things)

We have vented out anger and frustration on the 'Most Annoying Things Thread' so what gives you that 'ahhhhhhh' that satisfied and for-filled feeling (Ejaculation is a given!)

Many things for me but having just been out on the MTB and spent an hour cleaning it and still having the rest of the day to do stuff is quite pleasing.

I'm lucky enough tolive about five miles from one of the most amazing beaches in the UK. Walking along there at low tide, sun on my face, wind on my hair.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Rear wheel drive car and a deserted wet roundabout

Hot jam/sponge/meringue pudding with clotted cream

The first bottle of Honey Dew, Friday evening, 6ish

Arnage corner, about 2am, the Sunday of full moon about half way through June

The smell of hot engine mixed with leather and wood interior in a 1950s/1960s car, late on a summer night

Getting some pretty well perfect laps strung together on track - car or bike, especially if they involve passing people in / on quicker machinery.

Scoring a great deal on a long wanted watch on the SC.

Having a properly good laugh at a joke with some good friends.

Seeing England score a winning goal.

The perfect curry - really spicy but not toooo hot.

The perfect pint, sat outside in a beautiful beer garden with the sun on your face.

I thought that, but it turns out it is some sort of mechanical contraption with a wheel at either end!

Going to the pictures with the girlfriend.
Having a fridge full of food.
Sitting down surrounded by my dogs and seeing the look on their faces when i give them some attention.

I forgot to mention doing together faster laps on track days than all the Cayman and Boxster S's and the slower 911s in my 924S track car!

Washing/polishing the car - especially the Porsche (well you did ask!!) - then hearing it start up before taking it for an irresponsible hoon around our back roads and not getting stuck behind a tractor.

Play fighting with by son (aged 8) and him laughing because I am so slow!!

Finishing up after a sucessful DIY session.

Selecting, investigating, locating and purchasing the thing I have been looking for (does not have to be a watch)

Getting into my 34" waist jeans - usually happens late summer (hopefully).

Closing a big deal at work.

A really nice Sunday roast dinner (Rib of beef, leg of Pork with Apple sause, etc)

Doozing in front of an open fire after Sunday Dinner and really nice bottle of wine.

Being on or under the water - on holiday - somewhere hot and sunny.

    Eating Sushi with my mates.

Nice list, a couple of comments:

23 - Amused to Death was the first CD album I bought and I still listen to it on a regular basis. Yes, Waters is mad but he also makes some stunning music and this album still rings true almost 20 years later. Until now I'd not known of anyone else with a copy!

39 - Strawberries that actually taste, and are a lovely shade of deep red rather than the pink ones they sell in supermarkets!

Having a day with my kids

    My daughter's sense of humour

Watching Hampshire win with my son from the upper deck of the Members' Stand at the Rose Bowl. With the sun out. Or under floodlights.

Watching my son rip opposing batsmen's stumps out of the ground

Women with great legs in short skirts/shorts

Sitting on my balcony on a warm day with a cold beer and watching the boats.

    Proper coffee

    Test Match Special

    The company of friends

A post-race Grand Prix or Moto GP post-mortem with my best mate

Formula Vee (we'll get back out there one day)

Bruce Springsteen and the East Street Band

Glory Days (Springsteen tribute band and the next best thing!)

And probably a few more as well.....

    Regards
