Nice one, hard to beat an SD in my opinion... a firm favourite (and the 'one') in my collection :)
...again! :D
The watch I have described as "an uncomfy b*stard of a watch" is back in the fold. I decided to give it one more chance, so we'll see how it fairs over the coming weeks. One thing though - you've got to love the chunk of that crystal.
Apologies to Jussi, and anyone else who hates Rolex reveal threads - I didn't do it to annoy you. Or did I?

scans like this make me regret selling mine :?
Well done Cliff.... again :D
I do keep thinking about getting one but with a Sub & GMTIIC I really can't justify yet another black dialled Rolex... can I?
No, but who cares? :lol:Originally Posted by PeterM

No not good, a great choice. Got mine on at the moment, whilst the wife and daughter insist on watching Titanic. Shame all is not perfect!Originally Posted by MartynJC (UK)

Congrats - one of the rolexes money can buy - I have one and love it..... 8)
Unlike some of the fashion brands of today, this will forever be an all time classic :)
Yes you can. :wink:Originally Posted by PeterM

What is all this justification bollocks anyway? Questions to ask before buying a new watchOriginally Posted by ralphy
A) Do I not have one already?
B) Do I have enough money to buy it and still feed myself and dependents?
As long as the answer to at least one of these questions is "yes" then that's the green light!! :D
Done it when the answer to both has been :lol:Originally Posted by cmcm3

You got in there before I could edit - should have been not own one! Me too though Chris, but I'm trying to advise Peter well. He has put my buying to shame though, so I think he's a lost cause!Originally Posted by Chris_in_the_UK
On my wrist as well :D , although it must be the camera angle as I keep looking at mine and thinking the crystal doesn't look as thick as in your pictures then I put a finger up behind the edge of it and yup, that is one chunk of a crystal :) . Love it, has only been off my wrist for a few hours at a time since I got over 2 weeks ago now. I was rather surprised by your comments before as I have found this watch to be superbly comfortable, I guess on some wrists it wobbles about on mine it just sinks in and stays put.
Rules to live by if ever I heard them :lol:Originally Posted by cmcm3

At least it does not have that dreadful abomination called a Cyclops.
There's no hope for you Cliff
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
:D
Can't say I blame you though. If only I had smaller wrists I wouldn't have sold mine ;)
+1
(well, mine was a SUB)
Cyclops you say? Oh, yes please sir.Originally Posted by nesima

Anyone seriously affected by reflections in a cyclops needs to reconsider their watch viewing technique. :)Originally Posted by NJH
Me too. Going to don my Sherlock Holmes attire soon & trace who on here has my old one :shock:Originally Posted by redmond

FFS you are fliptastic.
Cliff - I'm really pleased! I missed out on your last one as the Mrs decided to re-decorate the kitchen .. hopefully by the time you grow bored of this one my watch fund have been topped up nicely.
Shall we say lunch at the New Club in, say, September? ;)

I may have to add one to my collection even though I have a GMTII C - I think the 'old' SDs are simply stunning. Although I have a Panerai itch to scratch before I buy another black faced 'lex.
Enjoy it!
