" I wouldnt walk down Monks Road for anything"
Not even to book yourself on a remedial English course at the college? Shame.

It's everywhere now. Usually these individuals drift to more remote areas due to the more relaxed security and less police presence.
It seems quite common now - anywhere at anytime....a sad reflection of how our society is changing.... :(
I'd wager there are far fewer armed bank and jewellery shop hold-ups now than there were 50 years ago.Originally Posted by Shakir Khaja

Very depressing and sad..... :(

The fact that security is so good now has just led to people looking for easier targets.

Local jewellers in sleepy Caterham were done over a couple of years ago with chaps with sledgehammers
Attempted raid happened at my local Rolex AD the other week

Lincolnshire has always been a hotbed of watch theft unlike here in sleepy little London. We can leave our doors unlocked without a worry...
And, many fewer highwaymen on the London/Bath (A4?) road than in the 17th/18th century. :)Originally Posted by davidcbull
