I've been rattling around London in the Spider today (I haven't driven to work in 13 years, so it's a novel experience). It really is a heap of junk; rattly, leaky, semi-detached trim, with the hood up it's like driving from inside a pillar-box, and gets windy on motorways, but it's comfortable, sounds good, fast enough to keep up with the traffic and absolutely perfect for bimbling around at 30 - 70mph with the roof down.

I'm taking it to France this summer and I'm looking forward to the experience of driving without the continual crash bang thump of British roads.

The pic reminds me actually that I really need to give it a wash and polish - it looks even more like a skip on wheels than usual at the moment
