Whilst deciding whether I should buy one again I found a pic of my old one sporting a Toshi in black with white stitching which I think works really well :)
After getting in my order today I started contemplating the best strap to go with it. I don't think I'm a rally guy. I'm thinking that maybe mesh or croco grain would be good.
I also browsed through the forum looking for ideas and stumbled across a great thread from Stoby with loads of pics.

So, what is your favorite? Photos?

Sold this combo a few days ago. Omega 1171/1 bracelet.
A know it's not a real PRS 14  but here are some ideas

Wanted - Damasko DC57
I ordered the '14 on the rally strap, but I already have a Hirsch Carbon waiting for it :D
Stoby's pic, I hope he won't mind my borrowing it:

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day
I have no idea what's best but I have Nato's, Toshi's, Rhino's ready for when mine arrives and am having it with the retro rubber as well. :D
I think the Mesh and the Rally are two of the best looks for this, it also looks good in Brown
Anyway, mine will be going on a Toshi until an Omega Mesh is purchased
Just ordered mine and a grey NATO beckons.
To say that I am happy it's available again would be a major understatement...

Gave the 1171 some serious thought, but it's got to be the Mesh for me
Here's a few of mine, which by coincidence I selected to wear this morning, and on arriving at work discovered an email from Eddie telling me it has been re-issued. Currently on the ZRC rubber :
Di-Modell Waterproof Leather goes well, I think.
(Yes. I know.)
Timefactors Bond NATO
Watchadoo Lumpy
Hirsch Mobile Medici
Vollmer Mesh
Toshi
Timefactors Retro Rubber
RIOS1931 Juchten
Timefactors Sand Canvas
Omega mesh
That's excellent, thank's for the comparison pic's :)

My personal favourite is the Omega mesh. It is a quality bit of kit that fits right into the period design of the 14.
Thanks for all the great shots. Was this Hirsch fairly easy to fit? Also, does it curve to the wrist well. I was looking at a Hirsch Principal, but I haven't ever had a leather strap with curved ends before. My wrist is on the slender side, and I'd not want the strap to overhang too much, if you understand what I mean.Originally Posted by Phil Lee
The again, I'm anxious to try it on a rally as well.
Thanks again!
The Hirsch was easy to fit. It has a removable square lump of plastic with two spring bar holes in which you can use to tweak the spring bar locations for different lug hole positions. Once you find the right position it is easy to fit.
Your photos are superb, and you just about cover all the options too!Originally Posted by Phil Lee
Thanks :) I have a few more 20mm straps in my box of watch bits so can take a few more if people want. Off the top of my head, I have a brown RIOS1931 Juchten, a black RIOS1931 rally strap, a black RIOS1931 buffalo, a flat Timefactors retro rubber, a grey NATO and a TF striped Bond NATO.Originally Posted by Stuart
Of the straps in the photos, I only have the Bond NATO, the RIOS1931 Juchten and the Omega mesh left. All the others went to new owners.
Here are some more straps:
Timefactors flat retro rubber
RIOS1931 rally strap
Timefactors ostrich
DiModell Jumbo
RIOS1931 buffalo
RIOS1931 dark brown Juchten
Timefactors Bond NATO with a twist
Timefactors Speedbird NATO
Timefactors grey NATO
Some great pics. Its a decision I have to make soon, after ordering a PRS-14 yesterday. All those strap combos look good, but it just looks so right on the NATO's, particularly the modified Bond and the Speedbird.
Too many combos and I like em all :drunken:
I'm not sure which I prefer, I may have to have a different one on each of mine :twisted:Originally Posted by SternG

Mine arrived this morning with it's Rally Strap
Also just ordered an Omega Mesh and a Brown Di-modell Jumbo
Black, Gray or Bond NATO; Toshi; Metal bracelet of choice, Timefactors Retro Rubber.....
Anything else looks horrible!
Sorry - just one man's personal opinion
I have to disagree with you on that one. The Toshi strap I had for my 14 was way too thick for the watch. Here's another photo to show you what I mean:Originally Posted by simonrah

A question on the Omega, what maximum wrist size will the mesh fit
with out the divers extention.
Dan
I'd say about 7 inches, it's renowned to be on the small side.Originally Posted by artonthewrist

That mesh is lovely, shame they are rather expensive.
I always find myself gravitating to black leather straps..so the buffalo looks great

Have settled (for now) on this rather nice Di-Modell Imperator

I like that! Where can I get one?
I am trying a tropical NATO at the moment. The Rally was good, I think this may be better.
I was too slow, so I missed the PRS-14 boat
Where can a guy get one of these at ?
