    watch noobie

    hi all

just got a new job and promised myself a new watch to celebrate. I want to treat myself and want a buy of bling.

I'm into Cycling (MTB & Road) and spend a lot of my spare cash in that area so not interested in developing a watch hobby. However, I do want something half decent. I like the Quartz Formula 1 range. It appears to tick all the boxes; Quality brand, reliable, somewhat exclusivity and looks good....convince me I'm wrong!

My budget is £500 MAX. I have always liked Tag Heuer and I'm specifically attracted to the Green & Red logo on a white dial.

You definitely need to buy a white dialled Tag, it's your destiny. There's nowt wrong with a quartz Tag.

Well done on the new job btw. And hello.

ps If you don't want to develop a watch hobby I strongly suggest taking your time getting to 25 posts

    Hi.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents.

Since you are not going to DEMAND that the watch is mechanical, I think one of the best candidates would be a watch that compliments your true hobby:::

    Tissot T-Race model: T011.417.22.201.00

Price tag should not reach beyond 350£ :::
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tissot-T0114.../dp/B0013IQCWS

I know it is probably more a "car-watch than a cycling-watch" but who will be throwing stones over that??
    Regards,

You could pick up the chronograph Tag F1 used for less than that too.
