Fricker........
Hi!
In my search for a watch with similar features as the Dreadnought, I've stumbled upon the Glashutte Rasmus 1000m Diving Watch m1-28-13mb (the"Rusmus" name must be a silly typo).

Actually, I've always preferred the crown placed at 4 o'clock in a diver's watch, preferably without shoulders to preserve the symetrical round shape.
However, in my opinion the price of Glashutte Rasmus Diver is just simply exorbitant. Come on, the watch isn't even in titanium. Secondly, I would prefer a much simpler bezel and a dial without numbers on it.
Another thing, The upcoming Sinn U1/U2 watches look interesting too, even though it annoys me that the crown on these watches doesn't line up with the 4 o'clock marker.

Fricker........
$3000US for that beast? No thanks, I'll just buy a Planet Ocean and be done with it. :D
Yeah. At that price the P.O. looks affordable.Originally Posted by NewsPhotog

and I'm not a watch manufacturer, but that bezel is fucking ridiculous.
I had one look at it and asked myself what the elapsed time was - sorry how many triangles does it have? Yeah, they must have held a lot of design clinics with that one.
As for the Omega, it would have to be one of the worst watches I have ever seen in the flesh. Trust me, do not even think about buying the watch till you have seen it in the flesh. The hands are disgusting, and I have no idea why the inner portion of the bezel insert is silver, should have kept the main colour filing all of the insert. All I can say is it's just as well the 300m model is still available, at 60% of the price. This would have been the ideal time to get rid of that useless (to 99.99999% of even the diving population) wart at 10. The extended depth rating will be of use to 2/5 of 5/8 of fuck all people, and the co-axial escapement doesn't warrant such a massive increase in price either.
Just my $0.02,

But do you like it Rob?

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
So letes see a wrist shot Rob.....:-)
Actually I have to agree with the fart valve comment. Why stick on a screwed release valve when you can just unscrew the crown???
Pete
I realise my post was a little bit restrained from my normal missives.
Let me just clear the air - I don't like either of them.
I'll happily were suspect shoes like these (bought two pairs this release)
But you can count me out on either of those two watches. Once again, Omega snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.
I do like these however, the second pic has a shot of the wrists visible for Pete ;-}
Rob.
Man, did you see the dials on that woman.....arrrooogggaaaa.
:-)

Is that Hilary Wank?

Is the technical term "Bicompax" appropriate?

... and if she took her clothes off ... she could pass for "Tricompax".Originally Posted by Eccles

OHMIGOD!!!
Talk about diversionary tactics!!
The watch however....... Frankly, these watches are a bit of a joke, particularly in Germany. Not particularly good at all in my opinion. I bought a 'Business timer', at full value in Munich a couple of years ago. It had a display back, and within a week, there were signs of dirt and moisture INSIDE the case.
This is an attempt to capitalise on the 'Glashutte' name, and frankly, not a very good one.
I bet this model is for sale on internet sites in a year or so, at less than half price.
I'd steer well clear, aven at 50% off.
