    Forums Watches clothes

Just a thought about forums i belong to four forums the three most used are this one, rlt and badger and blade. And I find it interesting to note that many on this forum and rlt are also on the badger and blade forum. I was wondering why so many who like watches belonged to badger and blade forum.. One thought I came up with is that we all like our watches which are part of our dress and grooming and by the most imho excellent taste in watches you all have it would indicate that we care about dress and grooming therefore use that site. Of course I could be completely which knowing me that is quite likely. But that is the only link, after all if we like a nice watch likely we like a nice shirt nice shoes etc, Do we wear watches with certain clothes for example gardening clothes and house repairs I wear g shock, of course I personally wouldn’t wear my g shock to a wedding. Anyway would be interested to note what clothes we would, or would not wear with certain watches or at different occasions or the link between the badger and blade forum. and tz-uk and rlt if indeed there is one. :)

I'm a member of golf and hi-fi forums aswell, did try one of the other "clothing" websites but the content was pretty poor to say the least, might give B&B a checkout to see what that is like. Guess you are right decent clothes and nice watches go together

I must be the odd one out then.

I usually wear polo shirts and shorts/jeans and most days I don't bother to shave.

I do like a nice watch though. :D
    Cheers,
    Neil.

I don't think I would fit in on a fashion forum. I have a distinct lack of style.

However I know a lot of people on here are members on Pistonheads which is where I was introduced from.

Even though I shave every week day & wear decent clothes to work, the phrase "male grooming" just makes me shudder - sorry.

    A once a week shave, a pair of 501's and a polo or T-shirt.
I do care about my boots though :)
But I never bother to see if it matches my watch.

    Cheers,

    Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

Not familiar with 'Badger & Blade'; may have to check it out. I've noticed there are a few members on here from 'British Blades' (knife forum) and EDC Forum (um...and EDC forum) and vice versa. Where BB may not be a logical cross forum hybrid, EDC probably fits right in!

I am fastidious about grooming and personal hygiene. I have a bath once a month, whether I need it or not.

What is RLT? Badger and Blade I can guess, but a quick google doesn't come up with anything sensible for RLT...

Also a member of some AV forums, car forums, and punternet.

That last one is a joke.

    Not very funny.

    +1

I spent so many years in a shirt and tie for work reasons that I flatly refuse to wear that sort of stuff in my leisure time.

Much to the consternation of the wife - if it has a dress code, I aint going !. Consequently she's missed all expenses paid invites to the Grand National, Mess Balls, Hunt Balls etc.

She calls me an inverted snob (amongst many other far worse things :blackeye: ) .

    "Clothes maketh the man".
    Not Adam they didn't.
If you wear sufficient cover to keep you out of jail, a vintage Omega, Longines or JLC is all the dress code you need.
I have an instinctive and justified suspicion of the "well dressed."

Popped over to B&B last night for the first time. Interesting place. Hadn't realised that there were so many wet shave aficionados. Nor that there were so many reviews of dubious "colognes"
