Looks good!
In what case can it fit?

Any opinions on the Bronze dial below? I reckon it would look good with an aged patina or a mottled finish!

I'm not sure mate, I get the feeling it would always look unfinished

I reckon with a mottled effect it could look quite good also any humidity would probably cause the bronze to age so become darker.

I like it. I was thinking about just putting a clear coat over a brass dial. Interesting, and unusual, placement of subseconds.
Best wishes,
Bob
That'll look great when the patina starts to kick in. 8)
yar from me bry, i would let it get a nice patina first though

When suitably aged, I wonder how it would look with a case like this:Originally Posted by Bry1975
Slim (9mm) antique bronze PVD flieger case from Helena Rou. Normally too wide for me at 43mm, but it's shallow and the lugs are very short (48mm, same as the smaller of the two new Smiths). Movement, dial and hands from Getat, timed well but the movement finish is gash, with poorly applied "PVD" (I think it's more likely to be a black Sharpie). Dial and hands have OK lume. A second set of hands and dial from Roland Kemmner had much better lume, and a bargain at £14 delivered. The whole lot was about £65.
Both dials were too small - it needs 39mm, not 37 or 36, so the movement/retaining ring assembly sat 0.4mm too low and the stem wouldn't fit. I found a 38mm gasket and used that as a buffer between movement/ring and inside case shoulder (on which the dial should normally rest). When I get a round tuit, I'll replace the dial. With one like Bry's ;).
I quite like the bronze case, though I'll never find a buckle to match...
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
Is that dial designed for a "left-handed" case? I guess that's the only way to get the sub seconds at 3 - fit a normal "seconds at 9" movement upside down.
Hard to tell without being cased up but you might be onto a winner

Two thumbs up from moi - like that a lot :)
Yup it's a left handed dial.
YES...I like it too...uh I mean Yarrrrrr!
