    Did look like a Smith's.

I only watched it because the boys wanted too, honest.

No, you only watched it because Amy Pond/Karen Gillan is gorgeous!

I am watching this weeks episode ("The Lodger") on iPlayer - and there was at least one sequence where it's shown, quite clearly:

Looks like the brand has 4 letters, maybe 5 if the first one is actually 2. Underneath it seems to say the number of jewels.
    It's strange that there isn't a crown visible. Here's a clearer pic...

That looks like a rather foxed Wyler, which means that the word under 'Wyler' is most probably 'incaflex'. I suspect that it is just a prop and doesn't actually work.

I think, thanks to Mat's excellent enlargement, it's a Buler. The symbol matches this one:

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to call her gorgeous; but she'd get it, without doubt.

I think you got it, well done! :thumbleft:

I wonder if they attached a rod onto the crown, to allow an off-screen motor to spin the hands. Then they might edit it out, along with the crown, in cgi.

Anyway, here's another Buler with similar numbers.

It still looks like Wyler to me, I'd swear black and blue that that's a 'Y' rather than a 'U', but then someone comes along with actual evidence  and ruins my theory...

Nice watch. I saw you post it on WUS. I like the numerals especially - almost futuristic looking.

OT, but didn't you decide you were leaving this forum?

    Hi.

I'm new here but this thread drew my interest after trying everywhere to google up information on the Gold Wristwatch that Smith's Doctor wears. After seeing the episode The Lodger I became obsessed with finding out what kind of watch he was wearing. I couldn't get a good enough screenshot out of the low-res download of the episode to really get a chance of reading the faceplate.

And yes, Amy Pond is GORGEOUS -a real looker! I've always had the weak spot for a pretty ginger.
