Hi
Thought I should share this absolutely beautiful all original '64 165024 SM300....bought from the original owner and having sat in a draw for just over thirty years
I've just had the 1/64 stamped 1506 bracelet restored to it's former glory by STS and the Watch looks as good as the day it was made:
The case profiles are minty as is the bezel , and then there's that perfect caseback 8)
with superb patina and a perfectly running movement this really is a fab addition to my small (but perfect) collection !
Hope you guys really like it :D , I certainly do....
cheers Neil

Gasp! The sweetness... that surely is an awesome find. Enjoy that baby!
You must have done something good to be rewarded with what I would describe as the best omega of all time , absolutley beautifal, and in my opinion a mesh bracelet will make it perfect , lovely absolutley lovely.
Superb - congrats!
2nd only to the '57 lollipops on my list.
Wear in great health!
Looks lika a # 5 bezel too (ticked 1 rounded 3), I still haven't found any more different ones.
stunning .. thats just loverly
Congratulations on a stunning find, always a nice feeling when you can unearth something like that. 8)
 Wow, what a find. If it wasn't for the aged lume you would never know its more than a few years old.
That`s a beauty Neil ,
Love the Patina ....
All the best,
Vic :)
is it running OK and keeping at least reasonable time, just thinking of the theories that you have to keep a watch serviced and used to keep it working
Here is the problem - you wear it, you wack it, you cry. Oceans of salt tears for the damage inflicted. I really can help you to avoid this awful but unavoidable fate. No really, I can. Here's how.....
You send me that old and tired looking SM 300 ( I mean; look at the dial and those hands! ) and I will send you a nice shiny PRS 14. Polished case and nice new dial. The great thing is you will not feel nearly as guilty at bashing it as you would doing the same to the Omega.
No please do not thank me. I have this sense of responsibility somehow to old watches like this. It cuts across make and time; Rollie 5512's, IWC 89's and any number of others seem to tug at the hidden carer in me.
Go on you know it makes sense - no guilt and the old girl in a good home. Works for me.
looks a bit ropey, needs a new dial and hands if you ask me

Interesting point - according to the owner , not serviced since '71 , it's just had a light lube recently and is keeping PERFECT time....Amazing !

Very very nice find.
Great to get a watch that has been stored away and missed decades of bashing.
