Oh my god, that's a limited edition Rolex, send it to Bexley then put it in a safe where it belongs
Take one LV, (brothers) and wear it while welding at work...
Normally WABI involves losing metal, but this LV has gained some...
Moron...

There is being anal about your watches and scratches (which I am not) and then there is being a numpty. As in if you are ripping a bulit in wardrobe out, you wear a Gshock not a nice watch. Clearly for me welding comes into the Ghock catagory
That made me chuckle :D .Originally Posted by RobDad

Brilliant. The ultimate solution to "the beater" - wear someone else's watch whilst welding. Love it :D
Now I'm going to pop round to see my brother tomorrow before I do the gardening - see if he has something I can use
ha ha should have been wearing gauntlets dave, i wear mine welding or using the gas axe, but thats what gloves were invented for, funnily enough we have been brocco-ing out a 24inch disused spool this week, been wearing the SD everyday
cheers

Must be a lot of money to be had in welding if you can wear a Rolex on the job - career change coming up!!Originally Posted by walkerwek1958

Yeah, but imagine what it would have done to a G Shock!
There is a picture on the net somewhere with a Sub that has got a massive amount of weld splatter, Ill try and find it....
Cheers..

Anti-spatter is your Rolex friend.
C.
Just to clarify, it was him wearing it while welding not me :D
On a serious note, bexley would get that off? It may start to corrode?
He did mention dremel and I said you might want to hold off, I can see how that will pan out...
Just a bit more, just a bit...
FCK too much
Melted it but then its 40 notes to replace if its like my smasher :)Originally Posted by Murphster

My cousin has a Seiko 007 that has taken a real pasting over the years, his has a large weld mark on it and a large mark in the case where something shorted through it. :)
ha ha :D nice one
Jeez Dave! Mark needs a schlap round the chops for that! Tell me he wasn't tacking a part back on the Atom or something crazy like that?
One of Jocke's, from this forum. I've had a look, but can't find it on his site. IIRC, he did a photo essay on a DateJust that he's used whilst welding... very very splattered!!Originally Posted by JasonM
