S'nice, but the most beautiful watch ever made is the Patek Philippe 5127R.
Yes, I think THAT is quite possibly the most beautiful dive watch ever made. Looking at that picture I'm trying to find a single thing wrong with any of its design elements. It's hard.Originally Posted by redmond

This and the Milgauss are the only Rolexes I'd consider buying. It's not beautiful but it is classic.

Great pics but beautiful is pushing it

Ah but beauty is in the eye of the beer holder. Putting this alongside a truly beautiful watch - a 5513 or 6538 - is like putting Jo Brand alongside Helena Christensen or Julie Christie (to keep the chronology in the similie). But perhaps if you find the deepseaseadwelleroriginalgasescapevalveringlocksys temsuperlativechronometer beautiful, you could find Jo Brand beautiful too.
the OP obviously intended to put a pic of a 16600 up.
It's also extremely hard to get hold of apparently... I gave my name to Laings and WoS in Glasgow and asked them to call me as soon as they got one in. Fast forward many months later ... Still no call!!!
Gave up waiting and bought a Daytona instead. Thankfully it was easier to get hold of from a good AD!!
Love the original, but the DSSD looks bloated and over engineered to me, but as they say 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. Enjoy yours 8)

I am a dive fan and a huge fan of this watch couldn't possibly comment as to it's beauty, more a beautiful beast
A rich man's toy, and looking silly as well......... :)
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Hmmm :pottytrain5:
The DSSD is a nice watch, however the proportions are all wrong - to thick and the strap is to narrow.
Very subjective however perhaps the nicest Rolex would be (in not specific order)
1. 5517,5513/12 (meters first) Sub
2. 1665 SD - Slim
3. 16750 GMT (Matt)
4. PN Daytona (Panda)
5. Explorer 1
6. Rolex Prince/Brandcard
7.1655 Explorer
8. 16550 Explorer 2 (with Rail dial)
9. 16800 Sub
10. 16660 SD
However for the most beautiful watch my choice would be the GP Three Bridges.
IMHO

im no rolex fan, but i think the white expl ii is up there in my book
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Love is indeed blind!
A lovely watch but surely not the most beautiful.
As others have said, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"; however, for me the writing on the inner bezel has always taken away from this watch. If you use it for the intended purpose, you hardly need writing on the bezel to explain the functions of the watch (that is what an manual is for).
Love is blind indeed....definitely wouldn't call the deep sea beautiful..everything looks out of proportion. Good watch though
For me that's just an anti-faking measure. It would be expensive to engrave a chapter ring like that.Originally Posted by SS333

Deepsea, O dear, here we go again, several weeks later, 3000 plus posts and hundreds of rants about whteher we love them or not, whilst I would love to see it a bit thinner i would die to have one in my collection, lovely great pictures
That is truly gorgeous, but I'll have to stick with mine for the foreseeable future...Originally Posted by Dave in Wales
Well, I am in agreement with the OP in that it is a beauty and that from many angles there are examples of an engineering masterpiece in the fit and finish of the components.
As an example just look how the Sapphire dome just blends into the bezel.
I like mine very much.

Not much in the way of beauty down on the farm? :DOriginally Posted by farmkid
Rugged and fit for purpose - yes, beautiful - certainly not.

However it's not the best looking by a long way.
I will say tho that that's your opinion n we all different.

I will be buying a DS before the end of the year, it's a great looking divers watch, and built like a tank
:love5:
This is the one I'm in love with atm
Stolen pic please let me know if not acceptable, it is the best one I've seen though :love4: :love5: :love3: :love2: :love1:
:D dont need to, agree about the lack of AR but the DS also has none and a very shinny bezel :lol:Originally Posted by CommanderJameson

I like looking at pictures of the DSSD, would I have one. Yes in a heartbeat if I could afford one.
It's trivially easy to find watches that are more aesthetically pleasing than the DSSD.
The DSSD is, to my eye, woefully under-braceletted. It's a massive watch and needs a suitably massive bracelet and clasp.
How did you fail so spectacularly then? :?Originally Posted by CommanderJameson
