hi stewart, welcome to the forum . nice username btw.
Hi everyone,
Been desperate to find a UK watch forum and have been looking here for ages and have signed up.
My collection is expanding but my current favorites are my Omega Planet Ocean XL with black bezel but orange numbers on a rubber strap. Also I have a PAM hommage which i quite like as well as Orient Mako and Invicta 8626.
Hope to be able to contribute something positive to the forum.
Regards
Stewart

Welcome to the slippery slope. Are you happily married?
Hello and welcome to you
Welcome along from a fellow newbie.
Welcome aboard mate!
Welcome Stewart,
The PO is a very nice watch, good luck
Welcome, i'm a realatively new member also,
looking forward to the eventual financial ruin that thes forums will undoubtably lead me too
Nice collection. any chance of any photos?
Thanks for the welcome and good wishes, some pictures I have seen are quite breathtaking and frankly I don't think I am up for the job.
My PO is in getting a service at the moment (no surprise there I hear), and its going to take a wee while to get back. It's been to Swatch UK for about a month now but was told 12 weeks due to shortage of a part!! I will take a few pics of my others as I know its obligatory that pics are posted.
Hi seikopath, thanks, I have a sad but special affinity with the film Halloween (1978 version) and since this is all about the festival of samhain I use this as my username across many forums. Sometimes I have to use a 1 when someone else has taken the original Grrr LOLOriginally Posted by seikopath
Hi johnboy9876, I agree I have a fairly recent compulsion to buy nice watches and want a mix between high end and afforables for every day. The value of some afforables I have seen (two of which I have) is fantastic.Originally Posted by johnboy9876

Not married yet mate, September 2010 to be exact. Living together with two kids poses real budgetary pressures when all I want to do is buy watches!!Originally Posted by Tai Mi Shu

Cheers guys, funny thing is that i never really appreciated the craft and workmanship of A good watch. I got a good old quartz or digital watch in the past and it did fine tbh. Now I am looking for a good selection of automatics which are potentially less accurate but some of the movements used are a work of art
Ooh congratulations on your upcoming wedding. :)
You getting her to buy you a watch as a keepsake of the day?
Lol I did ask her that and I think she may be of the view that the PO is enough. I have told her that I want to buy my best man a watch formdoing the job (obviously nothin too expensive) but I could get a discount with two!!Originally Posted by Tai Mi Shu
