Congratulations, awesome. A rare and lovely timepiece :D !
Hereīs a fairly rare Longines Master watch, very similar to the Hamilton Model 22 Deck Watch.
Originaly deliverd to the USAAF. Used for navigation and as a master reference watch for setting other watches. It has a hack function for synchronization with other time sources.
In it ticks a Cal.21.29 which came on the market in 1910, which was continuosly developed und was used throughout the first half of the 20th century.[url][http://www.longines.com/brand/milestones/1910/url]
Perfect dial, marked GCT (Greenwich Civil Time)
The Longines Chronometer notice inside the top wooden cover, suggests that the watch probably spent some time in a watchmakers/jewlers window, from the end of the 40īs-early 50īs . Passers by would be able to set their pocket watches by it.
If anyone would like to add any more information towards the watch...be my guest!
Regards Jimmy
