Get well soon Andy - all the best!
Sorry to hear about the spill Andy - glad to see you're prioritising your time in hospital with a visit to TZUK 'though!
All the best for a quick repair. Can heartily recommend a large glass of port as an analgesic - wonderful wave of painlessness before the alcohol really kicks in!
Cheers
David
get well soon!

That sounds a lot nastier than I thought it would be... I assumed it would be a dozy car driver turning right on you in traffic :?
I'm sure it's all very frustrating, especially being so far from home - but bear in mind that all these things will be resolved soon Andy.
Keep us posted and best of british :)
My last time on bike was at Donnington many years ago and I came off at Craner after thinking "I can go much faster here" every lap for 4 laps. Not ridden since which I regret as it was a moment of madness.
I feel for you Andy as although I was not hospitalised, I have been after a spectacular Formula Ford accident at Silverstone leaving me many miles from home. My abiding memory was the circular saw on the helmet
Good luck with your recovery, and to the bloke who made the error... sounds nasty for both of you.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery and repatriation.
Ouch! Get well soon, Andy.

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day
Bloody hell, best of luck with the recovery. I read the first page and skipped to the end and read Pete's comment about dozy car drivers, so I had to go back and read the other posts. Ouch, but very lucky at the same time. Best wishes to the other bloke too
Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Andy.
Paul....a committed 4-wheel man (bikes scare the hell out of me)

I'm sorry to hear about this - get well soon.

All the best Andy, hope that you recover quickly.
Is one of my worst fears on trackdays, but I do hope the other guys makes it, regardless of whether it was mechanical or rider fault.
Keep busy in hospital Andy, and its a relief it was 'only' tib/fib, as opposed to to something more serious. Be a good boy for the physio terrorista's :)
All the best Andy, get well soon!
Just came across this :(
Get well soon Andy and my best wishes.

Get well soon Andy, hope it's nothing serious and you are back in the saddle soon.
Andy, if you are in hospital and you have an automatic watch on your wrist,
you know what is the best moves to charge it, right ?
Be well.
Hope you're OK and it's nothing too serious Andy. All the best for a speedy recovery mate! :thumbleft:
No op today. Leg too swollen so hopefully tomorrow but it may be a cage with rods into my leg rather than plates.
At least my wife is coming up to visit tomorrow and bringing my recently arrived Explorer II for me to wear.

All the best for a speedy recovery.
I'm only 15mins from Donington and 10mins from Derby. If you need anything just give me a shout.
They are talking circa 3 months. I just hope that's worst case. I've had to cancel the 2 (car this time) track days I had booked for mid Sept / early Oct but work is going to be a real issue.Originally Posted by WORKSIMON

Just so long as you didn't break your wrist!
I hope you heal quickly.
Andy hope you get back to normal soon as :)
Get well soon
Hope you're back on your feet soon Andy.
My wife encouraged me to switch from bikes to watches on the basis you can't fall off a watch - then again, watch trends these days...
Sucks to be the victim in an accident and sounds like a bugger on the leg Andy, seriously sucks mate and I feel for you as a fellow biker who also loves the odd trackday. Hopefully it wont be too painful and they can find you a quicker 'back on yer feet' option.

Any news on the other guy?
Guys - I am Andy's work colleague - he's pretty poorly having broken his leg in two places whilst on his bike at a track day......I think we all wish him a very speedy recovery.
Chin up Andy - hope you are not in too much pain. :)
Sorry, just caught up with this, best wishes Andy from another biker. How are the leathers ?
