Lovely display back...is the movement quite small in the one?

    Re: New arrival

The movement is about 27mm in diameter, so about average for this type of movement. It looks very nice, but it's quite a basic movement, nothing fancy about it.

    Just lovely.

The trouble is, I'm starting to find these APs hard to resist :(

That new diver has your name all over it, the size of a PAM, with the shape of an AP, you know you want too :D

The non-chrono version looks best IMHO :)

    Cheers,

    Daddel.

I think the chrono is better balanced, it is nicer overall as well for me. This is a nice watch though and i'm more than happy, makes giving up the ROC a little easier :D

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Automatic, it's usually know as the AP RO, or the 15300 (or 15300ST).

No point, all i'll get offered is dodgy looking Daytona's again, even the wife things they're a little too feminine :D

I like the reduced thickness of that. I saw a model without seconds hand which was even thinner. a 5 digits euro price, unfortunately

I was wondering what you were going to get as a replacement.

Very nice. Very classy and nice clean dial adds to the class IMHO. One of the few AP's I like

    Re: New arrival

I was thinking about it, but other things are coming up, i might not be able to get another watch without having to sell more, it's a bit of a pain that the car cost me a grand the other week as i had it all planned out, still, it's my fault for actually having a plan

    Nice watch!

Ignore Shalako.... he hasn't got a wife... large or otherwise! ;-)

PS. I looked at your ROC and would have made an offer had I not just bought this...

A gorgeous piece. Tried one on in T5 a few months back (albeit with a blue face) - with a suit there are very few watches which compete with its overall comfort and aesthetics.

Its beauty is in its simplicity.

Grail material for me anyway - wow!

    Enjoy it mate.

That is lovely, i really wanted a Safari as well, but faced facts and it is just too much watch for me, both financially and on the wrist.

    Re: New arrival

The Safari is my favourite ROO version... but I favour white dials (I know it's "ivory"). Similarly the white dial RO/RO Chrono is "silver"... but appears white and is equally stunning.

Size is all relative... I had a 47mm Panerai and loved it and thought I could not go "small" again... but now I adore my 39.5mm Sea Dweller as much, if not more. You've got to try and see I guess.

Enjoy the RO... simple, classic and stunning IMO.
