Same username on there too.
:D
So anyone else a piston heads member?

Same username on there too.
Yep indeed, but I can't recall my user ID. Doesn't stop me surfing daily for things I really shouldn't be looking at, temptation tends to lead to purchases there
Not a member as such but a VERY regular user (aka 'drooling at fancy metal I cant afford'!!)
I'm a Pistonheads member. Classifieds is my favourate place on PH.
No not me
However since joining here I do frequent the site regularly. Bit of a bollocks for me in N.Ireland though, seeing all those lovely things.
Yep :) Currently browsing cars too, as it's nearly that time.. :D
Yes, I joined PH first many moons ago.
It was PH that brought me over to TZ :)
Member since 2004.
However, my presence there has been seriously diminished since I discovered this place!
Me too.Originally Posted by rocket-roy

Yes but the quality of the site varies drastically from forum to forum and I often feel there are too many Max-Power arm chair expert, 16-year olds on the site, who rubbish anything that isn't their favoured manufacturer/car.
Like the others, the classifieds are my favourite part.
Yes - since 2003.
TZ for watches. P'heads for cars. That's my hobbies sorted...
PH - havent heard of it - can you describe please?
THE place for car nuts. Even now it's commercially owned, it remains mostly a great site.

Yep, on it too. Was into cars only before I stopped thinking one watch was enough
Yup another one who found TZ-UK from Pistonheads Watch section. I don't post that much over there but have done in the past. I also frequent Singletrackworld (mountain biking), and used to be resident at YakYak (Llamasoft and related community). I tend to float back and forth with forums.
Yep...see you there.
Me too. Found TZ via the PH watch forum 8)
Cars and watches - inextricably linked.
As a result of a recent purchase of a TVR I've now joined PH to access the relevent forum.

Yep - same user name as on here though my TZ postcount has overtaken my PH one
I found about TZ from PH so came over to check it out.
same user name on both.

She's in need of a fair bit of TLC; hadn't turned a wheel in the two years prior to me getting her.
Chassis-wise I'm going for a complete body-off strip down: new out-riggers and the rest blasted then re-finished plus new springs and shocks all round. Engine's now had a full service (50k), gearbox is fine (T5) and a new aluminium radiator fitted. Interior is going to be completely re-furbished: I'm doing the leather-work myself & having new carpets made up and I've re-furbed the hood to a fair standard.
It's a real love/hate relationship for me with TVR's: I swear nothing is symmetical on them, things rarely fit as they should, some of the standard of construction is truly appalling...... yet there's something about them that just makes me smile when I'm driving one!!! :D Totally absorbing to drive, you really need to concentrate when making progress and you under-estimate them in the wet at your peril, but equally they can be a very relaxing ride due to the massive torque of that V8.
Once she's complete I'm going to take her for track days and have a bit of fun, plus frequent local use - one thing I've come to realise about these is they don't like being left standing for too long. This one will not be a "sunny Sunday-only" drive.

Jeez Ralph - looks a bit different in bits from when you rumbled through Fowey
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
I bet that's the first TVR thats been through Fowey, all I remember was very narrow lanes 'orrible for deliveries. :(
Will you be taking her to Castle Combe Ralphy?
Fab car, Ralphy, congratulations and best of luck with the restoration.
The first TVR I ever drove was a Chimaera; I'll never forget the noise and my sphincter-flapping moment when I accelerated slightly too enthusiastically away from a (bone dry!) roundabout!
I'm en-board the PH party bus!
Whilst same name, no posts as far too much Max Power testerone fuelled ramblings!
Regards M.
No .. but don't quite know why !! ... too much time on TR forum maybe .. then fell into here as watchitis stuck again .. and still far too much attention on AOS and other hifi stuff .... there just really isn't enough time and money to go around  :D
No. Mainly used by a bunch of tossers.
:D
Another PH tosser here. Although I've been in monumental lurk mode, I skim through it once a day.

Seriously, if you're into cars, and you're not on pistonheads, you're probably missing out. Good for classifieds too.
I found this place from over there :D same user name on both.
I'm on PH, RTBMotorsport...same as above, I found TZ from there!....oh, and lovely TVR
Another PH member...same username, has anyone suggested an MX-5 yet?
yes, for over 6 years, same username....im a big petrolhead :)
Me too... Same username, though since discovering TZ, via PH's I am spending less and less time on the forums.
Still love the Classifieds though! :)
Yes, I'm a long time PH lurker but have yet to post. It's got to be one of the best UK car sites for buying and selling and there's quite a bit of expert forum knowledge in some areas. There's also quite a bit of twaddle in equal measure but that's what makes it a interesting mix.
Yes.
Member since 2001, never use the forum though. I do always like to look at the classifieds and bought my Alfa as a result of a WTB on there.
I am on there as Gilly, and despite there being a load of threads i never bother to post...although i did find this Volvo on there for £300 quid...
that my brother and i turned into this..for a banger rally to Barcelona :)
